Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI)
Projects:
- Consultancy Services For The Development Of Ultra Modern Sports Complex
- Consultancy Services for Special Presidential Intervention Projects-Phase I.
The University of Agriculture Makurdi intends to carry out construction projects in the following areas:-
- An Ultra Modern Sports Complex for the purpose of hosting the Nigerian Universities Games, NUGA, 2014 Edition:
- Special Presidential Intervention Projects – Phase I (Universities Revitalization Programme).
a) Rehabilitation/Renovation of Hostels, Lecture Theatres/Rooms, Laboratories and Libraries.
b) Construction of new Hostels, Lecture Theatres/ Rooms, Laboratories and Library.
Consequently, the University hereby invites expression of Interest from reputable and experienced Companies for the Consultancy Services on either of the above development projects in the following areas:-
1. Architecture
2. Structural Engineering
3. Civil Engineering
4. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
5. Quantity Surveying
General Requirements
Interested and competent Companies are required to submit their Expression of Interest document with verifiable evidence of, but not limited to, the following:-
i) Company profile and organizational structure including names and resumes (Professional/ Technical Qualifications) of key personnel/partners as well as their current contact addresses.
ii) Evidence of Company incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission.
iii) Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2010-2013)
iv) Company Audited Accounts for the past three (3) years (2010 – 2013)
v) Evidence of VAT registration and remittances
vi) Evidence of compliance (Registration and Remittances) with the provisions of both PENCOM Act 2011, and 1TF ACT 2004.
vii) Evidence of registration with relevant professional regulatory body-ARCON, COREN, QSRBN ETC.
viii) Evidence of execution of similar (or comparable) projects in the past.
ix) Letter of reference from Bankers.
All responses shall conform to the specified (requirements given above; otherwise, the submission may be disqualified.
Submission of Responses
The requested information and any supporting documentation (in English) in respect of this Expression of Interest Process should be put in sealed envelope, clearly marked EOI FOR….. (State name of the projects) and submitted to the:

All submissions must be received at the above Office not later than 4.00 pm on Wednesday, 16th October, 2013.
This invitation does not constitute a commitment on the part of the University to award contract to any company expressing interest in the services, and submission of documents shall not entitle any of the companies to any claims whatsoever from the University by virtue of such a company having responded to the invitation.
All cost incurred by respondents as a result of this invitation and any subsequent request for information hall be to the respondents’ account
