Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors to Tender for the Year 2014 Proposed Capital Projects in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma
The Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma hereby invites reputable and competent Contractors to submit their pre-qualification bids for the following Year 2014 proposed capital projects.

2.0 Eligibility Requirement:
Interested Contractors are expected to show evidence of the following to be eligible for pre-qualification evaluation:
- Certificate of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission
- Certificate of registration with Federal or Edo State Ministry of Works in category D for LOTs 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8.
- Certificate of registration in the right category and annual renewal for the year 2014, with Ambrose Alii University in:
(i) Category C and above LOT 7
(ii)Category D and above LOTs 2,3,4,6,8
(iii) Category E and above LOTs 1 and 5
- Current Tax clearance and evidence of payment for the immediate past three yearsi.e.2011,2012 and 2013.
- VAT registration and evidence of remittance of VAT.
- Tax identification Number (TIN).
- Evidence of registration with PENCOM and remittance.
- Evidence of registration with industrial Training Fund and remittance of Training contribution compliance with ITF Act, 2011.
3.0 Evaluation Criteria:
The criteria for evaluation shall include evidence of the following:
- Evidence of financial capability and support letter(s) from reputable banks.
- Company’s audited account for the past three years, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
- Detailed company profile, organogram with evidence of key Technical and Administrative staff that will be involved in the project(s).
- Evidence of verifiable list of similar jobs or supplies successfully executed by the Contractor in the last three years, preferably with Government organizations or Corporate bodies, with location, letters of award, cost of project; completion certificates and photographs of the execution of the projects.
- Verifiable list of Equipment/Machinery with years of manufacture and location of the Equipment to be used for the project stating whether the items or Equipment are on lease, hired or owned by the company.
4.0 Pre-Qualification Fees:
Interested contractors are required to pay a non-refundable fee for the pre-
qualification exercises in Bank draft payable to Ambrose Alii University, submit same to the Bursary and obtain official receipt in same value as follows:
- LOT: 4 and 7…………………N7,500.00/LOT
- LOT: 2.4,6,8…………………N12.500.00/LOT
- LOT: 1and5…………………N25,000.00/LOT
5.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Bids:
Pre-qualification documents as listed in (2) and (3) above should be neatly bound and returned along with the original receipt for the payment of the non- refundable pre-qualification fee, in wax sealed envelope and marked “Prequalification for LOT” (with the project title and LOT number) written at the right hand corner and submitted to:

To reach him not later than 4.00 pm, 13th August, 2014.
6.0 Opening:
All received Pre-qualification Bids shall be opened on the 14th August, 2014 at the University Senate Chamber by 10.00 am. All Bidders, Civil Society groups and interested members of the public are invited to witness the opening ceremony as scheduled.
Important Notice:
- Contractors who have worked for the University and have history of poor performance, abandonment, termination and/or unapproved prolonged completion period of their contract need not apply.
- Only short listed Contractors shall be invited to tender for the projects.
- This advertisement of “Invitation to Pre-qualify” shall not be construed as commitment on the part of Ambrose Alii University to award any form of contract to your company.
