Invitation for Pre-Qualification Notice to Contractors for: 2013 Needs Assessment for Public Universities:
Special Federal Government Intervention (Phase 1)
1.0 Introduction
The Governing Council of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, invites interested and qualified Contractors for pre-qualification on the following projects:
CATEGORY A: REHABILITATION/RENOVATION OF LECTURE THEATRES AND LECTURE ROOMS
(a) Renovation of Bee House Lecture Hall and Ghana House 1 & 2 – LOT 1
(b)Renovation of Adeojo Lecture Hall and Renovation/Furnishing of Faculty Hall 1, 2, 3 and Shed for Management Sciences – LOT 2
(c) Renovation of Agricultural Sciences Shed 1 & 2 – LOT 3
(d)Renovation of 600 Seater Lecture Theatre – LOT 4
(e) Renovation of 5 Nos Lecture Rooms for Faculty of Environment Sciences – LOT 5
(f) Renovation & Rehabilitation of Tutorial Block (A1-A4) Lecture Rooms, Department of Nursing Lecture Room and Anatomy Lecture Hall – LOT 6
(g) Renovation & Rehabilitation of 250 Lecture Theatre – LOT 7
(h)Renovation & Rehabilitation of 750 Seater MKO Lecture Theatre and Furnishing of High Rise Building – LOT 8

(a) Renovation & Rehabilitation of Central Research Laboratory – LOT1
(b) Renovation & Rehabilitation of Gross Anatomy Laboratory -LOT2
(c) Renovation & Rehabilitation of Farm Laboratory, Pasture Unit, Swine Unit and feed Mill for Agricultural Sciences -LOT 3
(d) Renovation of roofing sheet in the Lecture Rooms/Offices Building and renovation of Medical Library for College of Health Sciences – LOT 4
(e) Renovation of University Library Painting of the entire Library, Circulation Desk and Portal Desk with modern furnishing and Conference Room with Table and Chairs – LOT 5

(a) Construction of 250 Capacity Lecture Hall LOT 1

CATEGORY D: CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FACULTY LABORATORIES
AND LIBRARY
(a) Construction of New Laboratory for Faculty of Agricultural Sciences LOT1

2.0: PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
(a) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) by inclusion of Certificate of Incorporation and Articles of Association
(b) Registration with LAUTECH in relevant category
(c) Company Audited Account for the last 3 years. 2011, 2012, 2013)
(d) Evidences of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last 3 years. (2011, 2012, 2013)
(e) Evidence of Financial Capability
(f) Experiences/Technical qualification and experiences of Key personnel
(g) Similar verifiable projects executed and evidence of knowledge of the industry.
(h) Equipment and technical capacity.
(i) Annual Turnover.
(j) VAT Registration and evidence of past VAT remittances. Evidence of compliance with the provisions of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Amendment Act No. 19 of 2011
(l) Evidence of payment of non refundable pre-qualification fee of N50.000 for any LOT through Bank Draft in favour of LADOKE AKINTOLA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, OGBOMOSO, to be exchanged for University official receipt at the Bursary Department.
3.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The Pre-qualification documents must be submitted in a binder of five (5) copies per LOT in a wax-sealed envelope to be addressed to the Ag. Registrar, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. The envelope will be marked “Pre-Qualification” with the appropriate project CATEGORY/LOT, name of the contract boldly written on the top of the envelope and to be dropped in a tender box in the Office of the ACTING Registrar, not later than 7th July, 2014 by 12. noon. 4.0 INVITATION
Contractors are hereby requested to indicate their interest in participating in the pre-qualification exercise, following which only qualified contractors will be invited to competitively tender for the projects, with proven track records on similar works.
5.0: DISCLAIMER AND CONCLUSION
(a) This announcement is published for information purposes only and does not constitute an offer by the University to transact with any party, nor does it constitute a commitment or obligation on the part of the University to procure works or goods
(b) Failure to comply with the above requirements would automatically result in disqualification, while documents submitted late shall be rejected.
(c) The University reserves the right to verify the authenticity of claims made in the documents submitted.
(d) The University will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by any interested party in connection with any response to the invitation
(e) The University is not bound to pre-qualify any bidder and reserves the right to annul the selection process at any time without incurring any liabilities
