Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors
Introduction
The Federal University of Technology, Owerri invites competent contractors for pre-qualification of some projects under the Year 2015 Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Special Intervention Projects.
Brief Description of Projects
Lot 1: Proposed Construction of Micro-Biology Departmental Building
Lot 2: Proposed Construction of Architectural Studio (Phase 1)
Pre-Qualification Requirements
Mandatory Requirements (Original Documents must be presented for sighting)
(a) Evidence of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission. (CAC)
(b) Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the past 3 years i.e. 2012, 2013, & 2014.
(c) Evidence of compliance with PFNCOM requirement
(d) Evidence of compliance with Industrial Training Fund (TTF) requirement
Other Requirements:
(a) List of similar and verifiable projects successfully executed by your company with locations, letters of award, Completion certificates within the last 5 years.
(b) Company resume
(c) List and qualification/CV and certificates of your staff who will execute the project.
(d) Bank Reference Letter/ Bank support showing evidence of financial capability to execute the contract.
(e) Evidence of Remittance of Value Added Tax (VAT)
Submission
Your pre-qualification documents must be in a sealed envelope and addressed to: The Registrar, Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State.
The top hand corner shall bear the name of the project for which you are applying for Example; “LOT l; Proposed Construction of Micro-Biology Departmental Building”. The documents shall be dropped in a pre-qualification box at the Council Matters Unit, Registry Department.
Dead Line for Submission
The document shall be submitted not later than 12 noon on Friday, 17th July, 2015
Opening of Tender Documents
The pre-qualification documents shall be opened immediately after 12noon on Friday, 17th July, 2015, in the University Council Chambers. All bidders are expected to attend.
Interested Members of the Public and Private sector professionals in the Construction Industries, Non-Governmental Organisations and Journalists are invited to witness the opening.
