Invitation for Pre-Qualification
1.0 Introduction
The Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku intends to embark on the construction of projects in the Institution using its year 2012 TETFUND normal intervention fund.
2.0 Scope of Work
The Construction and Furnishing of 1No 600-Capacity Auditorium, 3No Lecture Hall and Offices.
3.0 Prequalification Requirements
Prospective Contractors are required to submit the following prequalification documents.
a) Evidence of Incorporation of Business Name Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
b) Evidence of Registration with the Polytechnic.
c) Evidence of Tax Clearance certificate for the last three years.
d) Evidence of financial capability and banking support.
e) Company’s audited account for the last three years i.e 2010,2011 and 2012.
f) Verifiable evidence of Technical/key personal qualifications and experiences.
g) Refundable bid security of 2 1/2 % of bid sum in bank certified cheque must accompany bid documents.
h) Verifiable list of similar and other jobs successfully executed with their locations, together with letters of awards and certificate of job completion.
i) Verifiable evidence of equipment and technology capacity with evidence of purchase where applicable.
j) Evidence of remittance of pension contribution of employees to PENCOM in line with section 8(d) of the Procurement Act.
k) Evidence of VAT registration and remittance.
l) An affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant committees of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku or the Bureau of Public Procurement is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidding company, and confirming that all the information it presented in its bid are true and correct in all particulars.
m) Evidence of compliance with section 6(11) of the Industrial Training Fund (IFD) Amended Act, 2011.
4.0 Submission Guide
The pre-qualification documents are to be neatly bound and sealed in an envelope. The completed document should be addressed to:

The document should be dropped in the Registrar’s office on or before 13th November, 2013.
Late Submission Will Be Rejected.
5.0 Opening of Prequalification Documents
All bids received at the address above on or before 12:00 noon on the 13th November, 2013 and will be opened on the same day at 12:30 pm in the presence of all bidders who choose to attend and two credible observers.
Note:
- Only the bids of those who fulfill the prequalification criteria would be considered. Delta State Polytechnic, OgwashiUku, is nol duty bound to accept the lowest or any bid.
- Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, reserves the right to reject any or all prequalification packages.
