Invitation for Pre-Qualification and Tender for Construction of Buildings and Procurement of Phase II 2013 Special Presidential Intervention
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified, competent and reputable contractors to bid for pre-qualification and tender for the Construction of Various Buildings and Procurement of Phase II, 2013 Special Presidential Intervention in Akwa Ibom State University.

Applicants are required to submit pre-qualification documents in clearly marked and sealed envelopes containing the under-listed documents;
(i) Certificate of Registration/Incorporation
(ii) Current three years Tax Clearance Certificate
(iii) VAT Registration Certificate
(iv) Company Profile and Organizational Structure
(v) Evidence of Payment of non-refundable deposit of N30, 000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira) only for Project(s) of interest.
(vi) Resume of key professional staff of the company, and evidence of registration with professional Bodies
(vii) Evidence of remittances of pension contribution fund for staff of the company from reputable pension fund administrators, in line with section 16 sub-section 6 (d) of the Public Procurement Act 2007.
(viii) Audited account for the past three years
(ix) Evidence of Financial capability from the Bank
(x) Evidence of similar procurement and supply handled for the past three years
(xi) Evidence of contribution to Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
(xii) Evidence of payment of Akwa Ibom State Development Levy
N/B: The Non-refundable deposit indicated in (V) above is to be paid at the Cash Office in the Bursary Department of the University at the Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden and a receipt obtained.
(i) Only prequalified Contractors will be invited to pick up tender documents to bid for the Project(s).
(ii) Tender documents are to be collected from the Office of the Director, Physical Planning Unit, Akwa Ibom State University, Mam Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin L.G.A, on presentation of evidence of payment of the non-refundable deposit.
(iii) Contractors who have been pre-qualified in more than (One) Projects are advised to submit their bids for each project in separate envelopes clearly “SEALED AND MARKED” accordingly.
Period for Pre-Qualification Submission
All completed pre-qualifications should be clearly marked indicating the Project of choice, sealed, addressed and returned to the office of:

Closing date for submission of pre-qualification is Friday, 5th June 2015, to be followed by opening of Pre-qualification immediately same day by 12.00pm, at the University Senate Chambers, Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin L.G.A. Contractors who have expressed interest or their representatives are advised to witness the opening of the pre-qualifications.
Successful pre-qualified contractors will pick up their bid documents on Friday, 12th June 2015. Closing date for the submission of Tenders is Friday, 19th June 2015, to be followed by opening of Tenders immediately same day, Friday, 19th June, 2015 by 2.00pm at the University Senate Chambers, Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin L.G.A.
