Background
UNICEF Nigeria Country Office in pursuit of its mandate to advocate for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential, sources procurement of goods and services locally value of which was in excess of $10M in 2013. Nigeria’s rapid growth is leading to continuous increase of the number and variety of new commodities and services as well as suppliers/contractors, therefore setting the need to explore and update UNICEF supplier database.
UNICEF is conducting a market survey to pre-qualify suppliers for local procurement of supplies and services, create and update supplier database in one or any of the following categories.

Mandatory Requirements for Prequalification
- Minimum of 3 years of existence and experience in provision of supplies and services applied for.
- Satisfactory past performance, availability of after sale service
- Sound financial standing
Submission of Expression of Interest (EOI)
Interested companies are encouraged visit our website www.unicef.org/nigeria to view this advert and download Supplier Profile Form (SPF). Alternatively, copy of SPF can be obtained by sending an email request to abujasupply@unicef.org. The completed SPF should be submitted with the following;
- Letter of intent indicating the category of the services and/or products to be considered.
- Certificates of incorporation, registration and audited financial statements for 2011-13.
- Company profile, list of machines and equipment staff CVs, list organizations to which similar services has been provided and reference letters from clients served in similar area of specialization
EOIs should be sent to e-mail; abujasupply@unicef.org, not later than 20th June, 2014. Please quote “EOI-NGR- 2014-007 Market Survey” as subject to your correspondence.
This EOI does not constitute a solicitation. We do not require bids or proposals at this stage; we merely seek your expression of interest to Supplier Pre-Qualification. As part of the prequalification process, UNICEF may visit the business locations of the Supplier for capacity assessment.
