Invitation to Tender
I. Preamble:
In compliance with the requirements of the public procurement Act 2007, the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria wishes to invite suitable contractors for the implementation of its 2014 Capital Projects.
- Project Description Works/Goods:
Renovation of Agricultural Research house:
Lot 1: Renovation of Toilets
Lot 2: Replacement of entire Roof
Lot 3: Painting of internal walls
Lot 4: Printing of ARCN Publications
3. Expression of Interest for Consultancy:
The Council also requests interested consultants in the field of Agricultural Research Management to for forward Expression of Interest for the implementation various research works:
- Strengthening Agricultural Research Management Practices Within the National Agricultural Research System NARS.
- Strengthening Capacity in Crops, Livestock and Fisheries for Enhanced Productivity
- Food Security Legislative Advocacy/Summit
- Agric. Investment Programme for 5000 youths
- Conduct of Baseline Survey on Gender and Youth
- Assessment of Agricultural Research and Training capacity
4. Prequalification Requirements:
i. Valid certificate of registration of incorporation issued by the corporate affairs commission (CAC)
ii. Interested companies should have up to date returns with CAC and be informed that due diligence could be conducted
iii. Tax clearance certificate for three years valid up to December 2013.
iv. Value added tax registration certificate
v. Company Tax Identification Number from FIRS
vi. Evidence of compliance with pension reform Act
- Evidence of compliance with industrial training fund Act
- Letter of reference from bankers
ix. Evidence of Financial Capability to execute contracts
x. Verifiable evidence of audited accounts for the immediate past 3 years
xi. Verifiable evidence of execution of similar projects successfully completed
- Sworn affidavit in line with the provisions of part section 16, subsection 6 (e&f) of public procurement Act
- Letter of Authority to the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria to cross check the company’s account.
- Submission of Documents:
Two sets of pre-qualification documents neatly bound together and clearly marked invitation to tender, and Lot number interested in and addressed to. The Executive Secretary Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria Agricultural Research House plot 223D, Cadastral Zone B6 P.M.B 5026, Wuse Abuja Nigeria. 12.00 noon on or before 5th June, 2014.
6. Bid Opening:
The tenders will be opened immediately 12.00 noon on closure of the tender date.
