Development of Interactive Web Portal for the NUC and the NgREN
Invitation for Technical and Financial Bids
The National Universities Commission (NUC) is desirous of developing a new web portal for the Commission as well as for the Nigerian Research and Education Network and therefore invites proposals from competent ICT firms to pre-qualify for the project.
In addition to the technical design, the proposal should include the following:
- Evidence of incorporation by the Corporate Affairs Commission.
- Tax Clearance Certificate for the past 3 years and VAT Registration Certificate.
- Company Profile and relevant experiences (technical and managerial), and indicating names and qualifications of principal staff, contact addresses and phone numbers. Please enclose copies of relevant certificates.
- References to similar Project(s) handled, indicating clients, value of job, date of award, and evidence of successful completion.
- Evidence of successful technical support.
- For companies/firms with 5 or more employees, evidence of compliance with the Pension Reform Act, 2004, should be provided.
- Evidence of financial capability and/or Banking support to execute the contract without delay if awarded.
- All CAC, VAT, Pension and Tax Certificates may be referred to Security Agencies, Corporate Affairs Commission, FIRS, PENCOM and other relevant bodies for verification and authentication.
Collection of Technical and Financial Bid (Tender) Documents
Technical and Financial Bid (Tender) documents can be obtained from the office of the Head of Procurement of NUC Upon the payment of a non-refundable Tender fee of N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira, only) in favour of NUC. A photocopy of the receipt is to be presented for collection of the bid document at the Procurement Unit.
Submission of Technical and Financial Bid (Tender) Documents
Both Technical and Financial Bid (Tender) documents should be in separate envelopes clearly marked and sealed in one common outer envelope stating the company’s name on the reverse side of the envelope. All submissions of bid Documents should be addressed to the Executive Secretary, NUC and handed in on signing of an appropriate Receipt Register at the Procurement Office between the hours of 10.00 am and 3.00 pm, daily.
Closing/Opening offender Documents
- Closing date for the submission is 9th March, 2015 at 12.noon.
- Opening of Technical Submissions shall follow immediately after submission on 9th March, 2015
- Venue -NUC Physical Planning Conference Room
Prospective Bidders or their representatives are invited to the opening, please.
Please Note that:
(i) Only pre-qualified Companies/Firms will move to the next stage of the bidding process.
(ii) The NUC reserves the right to reject any or all submissions that do not meet up with the requirements as specified.
(iii) The Technical Evaluation of the documents shall be strictly based on the requirements specified.
(iv) The National Universities Commission is neither committed nor obliged to reply any firm not found suitable to participate in the project.
(v) The Commission is not obliged to award the contract to the lowest priced bidder.
