Invitation for Prequalification for Projects Under the Needs Assessment Funds
1.0 Introduction
The University of Abuja is desirous of executing projects under the NEEDS Assessment Funds and hereby invites reputable and interested Contractors for technical bidding for the exercise.
2.0 Scope of Work
The projects involved are in the following categories:
Category A – New Constructions
Category B – Rehabilitation and Renovations
Category C – Furnishings
3.0 Prequalification Criteria
All interested contractors are to submit the following prequalification documents among others;
i) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
ii) Tax clearance certificate for the last three years
iii) Evidence of compliance with the 2011 Industrial Training Fund Act.
iv) Evidence of compliance with the 2004 Pension Act.
v) Evidence of VAT remittance
vi) Certified audited company accounts for the immediate past three years
vii) Company profile and Office Address
viii) Evidence of previous and similar jobs done with certificate of performance/completion
ix) CV and copies of credentials of key personnel to be deployed for the work,
x) List of verifiable applicable equipment for the project proposed.
The documents should follow the order listed i-x above. Each parcel should have a table of content indicating the pages on which these items are to be found.
4.0 Submission of Documents
(i) Pre-qualification documents are to be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked at the top left corner “Prequalification Documents” stating the particular work category.
(ii) All Contractors submitting documents for Prequalification for Furnishing Works should enclose their catalogue Submissions without catalogues shall not be processed
(iii) The Prequalification Documents are to be dropped in the Prequalification Box located at the reception hall of the Senate Building, Main Campus, Airport Road, Abuja not later than 10:00 am on Monday May 5, 2014. No late submission shall be entertained.
5.0 Closing of Submissions and Public Opening of Documents
(i) Opening of prequalification documents shall take place at 10 am on Monday May 5, 2014 in the Reception Hall of the University Senate Building, Main Campus, Airport Road, Abuja.
(ii) All Bidding Contractors are encouraged to attend the opening of prequalification documents.
6.0 Notes
(i) The University reserves the right to reject any or all packages
(ii) In all projects, time shall be of essence.
(iii) The University or its agents reserve the right to verify any submission or claims by the companies and shall therefore by their response to this invitation, grant the University necessary authority and guarantee for such verification.
(iv) Submission of the documents or bids is an offer and should not be considered as commitment on the part of the University of Abuja nor entitles firms/companies to make any claim whatsoever and/ or seek any indemnity from the University.
