Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors and Tenders
The Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, is desirous of embarking on the under-listed TETFund project. Consequently, interested competent and experienced contractors are invited for pre-qualification and Tender:
(A.) Project: External Work at the New Education Building (TETFund building) ETF 2004/2005 and Education Block
(B.) Pre-Qualification Requirements:
Interested contractors are required to submit the following with their application:
Mandatory Requirements;
(i.) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
(ii.) Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three years (2012, 2013, 2014).
(iii.) Evidence of PENCOM compliance by inclusion of current PENCOM clearance certificate.
(iv.) Evidence of compliance with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Act No. 19 of 2011 by inclusion of current ITF Clearance Certificate.
Others:
(v.) Company Audited Accounts for the last three years
(vi.) Sworn affidavit indicating whether any staff of AIFCE is a former or present Director. Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the company
(vii.) Company profile, indicating technical qualifications and experience of key officers to be involved in the project
(viii.) Financial capability/evidence of financial banking/reference from a reputable bank.
(ix.) List of relevant equipment/plant with evidence of ownership
(x.) List of similar projects executed; stating contract sums and evidence of award/completion
(xi.) VAT registration and evidence of past VAT remittances
Collection/Submission of Documents
Document for pre-qualification and Tender which must be in separate sealed envelopes and clearly marked “Application for pre-qualification for External Works at the New Education Building: and Tender for…..” should be collected from the office of the DWS and forwarded to reach the address below not later than 12noon on June 26th, 2015

General Information
(a.) All claims made by applicants may be verified and any company whose claims are found to be false shall be disqualified.
(b.) Contractors who have worked for this college and have history of poor performance, abandonment or prolonged contract period need not apply.
(c.) Evidence of payment of non-refundable Tender fee of N15, 000.00 is required before collection of Tender Documents from the office mentioned above.
