Invitation to Pre-Qualify/Tender for Year 2014 Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) Special Intervention
The Federal university of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), invites competent contractors to pre-qualify/Tender for the Construction of Pilot Plant Development Building for the Department of Food Science Technology Including External Works.
Pre-Qualification Requirements:
Mandatory Requirements from (l-V) will be presented for sighting:
(i) Evidence of Incorporation with Corporate Affaire Commission (CAC)
(ii) Tax Clearance Certificate
(iii) Evidence of compliance with PENCOM requirements with certificates
(iv) Evidence of Registration with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) with Certificates
(v) All tender submission in the region of N300 million and above should come with 2% BID SECURITY
Other Requirements
(vi) List of similar and verifiable projects successfully executed by your company with locations, letters of award, completion certificates within the last five years.
(vii) Company Resume
(viii) List and qualification of staff who will execute the work (copies of the certificates must be included).
(ix) Bank Reference Letter/Bank Support showing evidence of financial capability to execute the project.
(x) Lists of equipment needed for the execution of the project
(xi) Evidence of Remittance of value Added Tax (VAT)
Collection of Bid Documents/ Tender
Contractors are to collect Bid Documents/Tender from the Office of the Director, Physical Planning & Development Unit upon the payment of N30,000 (thirty thousand Naira) only to the Cash Office, Bursary Department of FUTO and obtain receipt of payment and only pre-qualified companies will have their tenders analyzed.
Submission of Pre-Qualification and Financial Bid Documents/Opening
Completed documents which must be sealed and marked with the title of the project on the top left hand corner of the envelop should be dropped in the tender/ pre-qualification box at the Council Matters Unit, Registry Department not later than 12:00 noon 6th August, 2015 as it will be opened same day.

(a) The participation in the bid does not guarantee any person the right to be selected or awarded any contract.
(b) That by the submission of tender documents, the University is neither committed nor obliged to award any contract to any Contractor Supplier/Agency.
(c) That this advertisement for invitation for-pre-qualification and tender shall not be misconstrued as commitment on the part of the University nor shall it entitle any contactor/ firm to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the University.
(d) The University reserves the right to reject any or all expression of interest and to terminate the selection process at any time without any liability to the University.
(e) Any bid submitted after the closing date shall not be considered as time is of essence.
(f) If at any time during the procurement process it is discovered that the submission made by any contractor is invalid, the Contractor will be automatically disqualified.
