Tender: Invitation for Submission of Technical and Commercial Bids For 2014 Capital Projects
A: Introduction:
The Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) is a Parastatal under the aegis of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology; desirous of executing some Capital Projects under the 2014 Budget Appropriation. Suitably qualified and reputable Contractors are invited to submit technical and commercial bids for the underlisted projects:
Lot 1: Purchase of Computers
(a) Procurement of Video Cameras, Still Cameras etc
(b)Procurement of Computers, Printers and Photocopiers.
Lot 2: Purchase of Industrial Equipment
(a) Infrastructure and Equipping of National Construction Materials Testing Laboratory in Abuja.
(b)Provision of 2no. Workshop Bays for Laboratory Machines Shops for R&D Activities.
(c) Procurement of State of the Art Equipment that includes equipping of Machine Workshop and Special Laboratory Equipment
Lot 3: Promotion/Commercialization of NBRRI Technologies
(a) Construction of Skill Center using NBRRI Technologies in Gombe State.
(b)Construction of 3 Blocks of Classrooms using NBRRI Technologies in Owode, Ogun State.
(c) Completion of Owode Town Hall in Ogun State using NBRRI Technologies.
(d)Construction of 2No. Skill Centres in Ogun State using NBRRI Technologies.
(e) Construction of Technology Skill Centre in Ankpa LGA of Kogi State using NBRRI Technologies.
(f) Construction of Labour Based/Light Equipment Access Roads in Kaduna State.
(g) Construction of Labour Based/Light Equipment Access Roads in Katsina State.
(h)Construction of Labour Based/Light Equipment Access Roads in Kebbi State.
B: Tender Submission Procedures:
- Interested Bidders should submit separate bids for each of the listed lots or sublots. Bids that do not comply shall be rejected.
- Bidders should submit Technical and Financial Bids in separate envelops clearly marked Technical Bids or Financial Bids as appropriate, with lot/sublot number indicated in the left hand corner of the envelop.
- The Technical Bids should include the following documents:
(a) Evidence of Company Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
(b)Evidence of Payment of Taxes (Tax Clearance Certificate/VAT Registration and Remittance) for the past three years.
(c) Company Audited Accounts for the Past Three (3) Years.
(d)Evidence of Financial capability and Banking support.
(e) Technical competence/experience/qualification of key personnel.
(f) Evidence of similar projects executed and knowledge of the Industry.
(g) Compliance with National Pension Act.
(h)Compliance with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Act.
- The demonstration Skills Acquisition Centre Projects are based on Alternative Building Technologies and Innovations developed by NBRRI and familiarity with this and locally available raw materials will be an added advantage.
- Bidders can collect bidding documents at the rate of N25,000 for each Lot or Sub-lot from the address stated below. Only financial bids of qualified bidders shall be opened.
C: Submission
All completed Bids should be properly addressed, sealed and clearly marked.
They are to be submitted not later than 10.00 a.m on Tuesday, 15th July, 2014 to the address below:
