Background
The Federal College of Education, Yola is desirous of undertaking projects for execution from the 2012/7013 (MERGED) TETFUND (TERTIARY EDUCATION TRUST FUND) NORMAL INTERVENTION ALLOCATION and is interested in engaging the services of any reputable contractor. Applications are hereby invited from interested contractors with relevant cognate experience and good track record of performance to submit their pre-qualification documents for assessment
2.0 Scope of Work
The proposed projects are in the following lots:
Lot l: Construction and Furnishing of 1000 Capacity Auditorium
Lot 2: Supply and Installation of 523 Various Multimedia Digital Laboratories and Phonetic Equipment
Lot 3: Procurement of brand new 2013 Toyota Coaster Bus with 30 passengers seater and 3 years warranty
Lot 3: Procurement of brand new 2013 Toyota Hiace Bus with 18 passengers seater and 3 years warranty
Lot 4: Supply brand new 2012 Mercedes-Benz MCV400 bus with 51 seater, interior lighting, side curtains, luggage volumes 5 cubic meters 3 years warranty
3.0 Pre-qualification Requirements for the Technical Bidding
- Valid Certificate of Registration of Incorporation;
- Tax/VAT clearance Certificate for the last three years
- Company Resume/profile including details of key officers, details of equipment owned
- Evidence of Registration with relevant professional bodies and organizations for both the firm and its personnel.
- Evidence of execution of similar projects, stating clearly the location of the projects, including copies of letters of award and completion certificates.
- Company audited accounts for the last three years
- Annual Turnover
- Evidence of financial capability and banking support
- Evidence of company’s commitment to staff on NHIS and Pension contributions
- All evidence of compliance with relevant government rules concerning contract bidding
4.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
Bound “pre-qualification documents in wax sealed envelope with Pre-qualification for (Name the Preferred lot) at FCE Yola” written at the top left hand corner and addressed to:

Documents should be hand delivered or by registered mail not later than 12 noon of Monday 28th July, 2014 when the documents will be publicly opened. Only pre-qualified companies will be invited to collect the tender documents
Bid Documents
Bid documents will be made available to pre-qualified contractors from 30th July, 2014 on presentation of evidence of the payment of N50.000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira only) as prescribed tender processing fee.
All bids must be submitted and dropped in Tenders Box in separate sealed envelopes marked with the appropriate Lot with company name clearly indicated not later than 10am of Wednesday 27th August, 2014. Bid opening will follow immediately at the Academic Board Room of F.C E Yola in the presence of Contractors or their representatives and all interested members of the public.
