A Introduction
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi hereby invites reputable and competent contractor for execution of its Year 2010 TEFund Special Intervention Projects Batch IV and 2009-2012 Merged Tetfund Normal Intervention Projects as approved.
B. Scope of Works
Year 2010 TEFund Special Intervention Projects Batch IV
- Proposed Repair of Roof Leakages at the NLTA&B, Yelwa Campus
- Proposed Repair of Roof Leakages at the Library Complex, Yelwa Campus
- Proposed Repair of Roof Leakages at the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, Gubi Campus
- Refurbishing of broken down equipment at the School of Engineering and Engineering
Technology and preparation of laboratories to receive equipment procured in Batch III of SIP Projects. Yelwa Campus
2009-2012 Merged Tetfund Normal Intervention Projects
- Construction of a workshop, farm produce store and implements shed for the Teaching and Research Farm
- Construction of administrative block of the Teaching and Research Farm
Pre-Qualification Requirements
The under listed are the pre-qualification requirements that should be submitted by interested contractors/companies for scrutiny:-
a) Evidence of company registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
b) Company tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) consecutive years covering 2011, 2012 and 2013.
c) Submission of Pencom certificate of compliance.
d) Evidence of compliance with the ITF Amendment Act, 2011.
e) Company VAT registration certificate.
f) Company’s audited account for the last three (3) consecutive years covering 2011, 2012 and 2013.
h) Evidence of similar verifiable projects executed within the last three (3) years.
h) Evidence of financial competence from a reputable commercial bank.
i) Company profile indicating detailed CVs of key company staff.
j) Evidence of equipment and technology with proof of ownership.
k) A sworn affidavit to the effect that none of the company’s directors has been
convicted of any criminal offence relating to fraud or financial impropriety or criminal offence relating to criminal misrepresentation, falsification of facts relating to any matter.
l) Any other relevant document that may be of advantage.
C. Collection of Tender Documents
Interested contractors should collect bid documents from the office of the Director of Works upon presentation of evidence of payment of non-refundable Tender Fee of N25,000 for construction and N20,000 for repairs respectively to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi
D. Submission of Tender Documents
Completed bid documents should be in two (2) separately sealed envelopes, labelled “Technical” and “Financial” (2 envelopes system) placed in a larger envelope clearly marked with the relevant project title and addressed to:

The closing date for submission of bids is 4th August, 2014.
E. Opening of Bids
Opening of bids shall commence immediately following the expiration of the deadline by 12:00 Noon at the Council Chambers, Gubi Campus.
