Invitation to Tender
The Federal College of Agricultural Produce Technology, Kano hereby invites reputable, qualified and registered Contractors and suppliers to apply for contract to execute projects in the College under the 2014 appropriation act.
A. The Projects
Lot 1
Completion of the construction of the metal and wood workshop building located at the college premises on Plot 54-56 Central Bank quarters Road, GRA Extension Hotoro, Kano.
Lot 2
Completion of the construction of Staff Office Block located at the college premises on Plot 54-56 Central Bank quarters Road, GRA Extension Hotoro, Kano.
Lot 3
Construction of Model Tomato processing centre to be located at the College permanent site Barkum, Bunkure Local Government, Kano State.
Lot 4
Procurement of a 30-seater Toyota Coaster Students’ Bus
B. Application Requirements
1. Name of Firm
2. Brief history of the company stating nature of work undertaken
3. Evidence of incorporation by Corporate Affairs Commission.
4. Tax clearance certificate for the last three years.
5. Current Vat certificate.
6. Evidence of similar jobs successfully completed in the last three years.
7. List of equipments to be used for the project and their location (where applicable)
8. List of key personnel/officers to be attached to the project and their qualifications. Enclose photocopies of professional certificates as well as evidence that none of the company’s directors has been convicted for any criminal offence relating to fraud or financial impropriety or criminal misrepresentation, falsification of facts relating to any matter.
9. Evidence of financial capability. A Bank’s reference indicating readiness to finance the project if the applicant’s bid is successful as well as audited account for the last three (3) years.
10. An affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of this College’s relevant committees on procurement is a former or present Director, Share holder or has any pecuniary interest in the applicants Company.
11. Evidence of compliance with the Pension Act 2004
12. Evidence of compliance with the Industrial Training Fund act
13. Evidence of submission of annual returns to the Corporate Affairs Commission.
14. Audited Accounts report for three (3) years (2011, 2012, 2013).
15. Completed tender documents purchased from the College.
C. Submission of application
Applications for contracts should be clearly marked and returned in sealed envelope to the under signed not later than 12.00 noon on Friday 30th May 2014. Contractors applying for more than one project should make separate submissions for each project. Documents will be opened the same day at the College Board Room.
