Invitation for Prequalification and Tender for Procurement of Works and Goods Under 2013 Tetfund Special Intervention
Federal College of Education, Kontagora, Niger State intends to carry out the Procurement of Goods and Works under the 2013 TETFUND Special Intervention. The College is inviting interested reputable and competent contractors with cognate experience wishing to tender for the under-listed works and goods under LOTS 1, 2 and 3
Scope of Procurement for Works and Goods
Federal College of Education, Kontagora under the 2013 TETFUND Special Intervention procurement activities are classified under the following sub-heads:-
Lot 1a Construction of Academic Staff Complex for School of Education.
Lot 1b Procurement of Furniture for Academic Staff Complex for School of Education
Lot 2a Construction of a 400 Capacity Lecture Theatre for School of Arts and Social Science
Lot 2b Procurement of Furniture for 400 Capacity Lecture Theatre for School of Arts and Social Science
Lot 3a Procurement of One (1 No.) Number 32 Seater Bus for Students Excursion
Lot 3b Procurement of One (1 No.) Number 32 Seater Bus for Students Research
Lot 3c Procurement of One (1 No.) Number 14 Seater Bus for Students Examination
Lot 3d Procurement of One (1 No.) Number 14 Seater Bus for Students Research
Lot 3e Procurement of One (1 No.) Number Utility Vehicle Double Cabin Pickup Van
Tender Eligibility Criteria/Requirements
Interested contractors are requested to forward the following Prequalification document for consideration:
(a) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Memorandum and Article of Association for Limited Liability Companies and verifiable Names of current Directors, Office and Workshop address (es) as registered with CAC. (Not mailing addresses such as Post Office Box or Private Mail Bag contact numbers).
(b) Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the past Three years (2011,2012, 2013), Please indicate TIN’ number
(c) Evidence of VAT registration Certificate
(d) Verifiable evidence of similar Jobs successfully executed by the Contractor including locations, cost, letter of award and Completion Certificate.
(e) Evidence of financial capability which should include Statement of Account and Audited Reports of the Company for preceding years (2011,2012,2013) reflecting Directors identity, Assets and Liabilities.
(f) Letter of Introduction or Reference Letter from the Companies’ Bankers as to their financial capability to undertake the project of interest.
(g) Evidence of compliance with Pension Act 2007 and evidence of remittance of pension fund contribution for staff of the Company from reputable Pension Funds Administrators (PFA) as provided in section 16 sub section 6 (d) of the Public Procurement Act2007.
(h) List of Names and Resume of Company’s key Personnel with Academic and Professional qualification and experience.
(i) Proof of Registration with Professional body and “Certificate of Practice” from relevant Professional Body as statutorily required in practice.
(j) Verifiable list of Company owned equipment, workshop machines, tools, technology capacity and relevant infrastructure available for the Project(s).
(k) Certificate of compliance with Section 6 (1) – (3) of the Industrial Training Fund Amendment Act, 2011, issued by the ITF or Evidence of Registration with ITF.
NOTE:
(i) Original copies of the above listed documents should be available for sighting on demand during the opening of Pre-qualification applications and thereafter.
(ii) That deduction of Education Tax, ITF Tax, VAT and other Taxes are applicable.
Collection of Tender Documents for Works and Goods
Interested Bidders shall collect the Tender document(s) from the Procurement Unit of the Bursary Department between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. with effect from Monday, 15th December, 2014 till the closing date on Friday, 23rd January, 2015 at 3.00 p.m. prompt. Finally, note that Bidders are to pick Tender Document and submit with prequalification document when retuning financial Bid/Technical documents.
Submission of Pre-Qualification and Collection of Tender Documents
The Pre-qualification and Tender documents should be enclosed in sealed envelope and boldly written/marked “Pre-Qualification and Tender Documents” indicating each Lot Name and Number for each Tender separately in separate sealed envelopes; and Tenderer’s Name written on the reverse side of each envelope addressed to:

The Pre-qualification and completed Bid document should be deposited in the Tender Box at the Registrar’s office not later than 3.00 p.m. prompt on Friday, 23rd January, 2015. Opening of submitted Pre-qualification and Bid documents shall be publicly carried out at the College Governing Council Chamber by 3.00 p. m. on Friday, 23rd January, 2015.
Representatives of respondent Companies are by this Advertisement, invited to witness the scheduled Bid opening process.
