Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI)
Kogi State University; Anyigba, is desirous of executing some new building and rehabilitation / renovation Project under the Special University Revitalization Programme based on Needs Assessment Report. Towards achieving this purpose, the services of reputable consultants are required. Requests for Expression of Interest (EOI) are hereby required from consulting firms of Architects, Structural Engineers, Electrical & Mechanical Services Engineers and Quantity Surveyors & Mechanical Services Engineers and Quantity Surveyors.
A. PROJECTS
Interested consulting firms are requested to submit Expression of Interest for the following projects;
Lot 1 Rehabilitation/ Renovation of Hostels blocks/Lecture Theatres, Classrooms, Laboratories and Library.
Lot 2 Construction of Twin Lecture Theatres, Laboratory blocks and Library
B. Eligibility Criteria/Requirements for the Expression of Interest
Prospective consultancy firms are required to submit the following documents for pre-qualification:
a) Valid evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission;
b) Valid evidence of registration with relevant Professional bodies, e.g. ARCON, COREN, QSRBN.etc.
c) Evidence of compliance (Registration and Remittances) with the provisions of both PENCOM Act 2011, and ITF ACT 2004;
d) Company Tax clearance certificate for 3 years (2010, 2011 & 2012);
e) Comprehensive Company Profile, including details such as Curriculum Vitae of Management and professional staff and copies of academic and professional Certificates;
f) evidence of execution of similar projects stating clearly the clients, locations, contract sums of such projects, including copies of letters of engagement in the last 5years;
g) Letter of reference from Bank;
h) Company Audited accounts for 3 years (2010, 2011 & 2012);
i) Evidence of VAT registration and remittances, and
j) Consulting firms intending to express interest should accompany their submissions with a disclosure as to whether any officer of Kogi State University, Anyigba, is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the Company.
C. Method of Application
All interested Consultants are invited to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) in Sealed envelopes clearly marked “Expression of Interest” indicating the Lot(s) and must submit to the Registrar latest by 12 noon on Wednesday 30th October, 2013. Opening of the EOI will be on 30th October, 2013 by 2.00pm in the Council chambers of the University in the presence of all consultants or their representatives.
This invitation does not constitute a commitment on the part of the University to engage any consulting firm expressing interest in the services, and submission of documents shall not entitle any of the firms to any claims whatsoever from the University by virtue of such a firm having responded to the invitation.
All costs incurred by respondents as a result of this invitation and any subsequent request for information shall be to the respondents’ accounts,
