Call for Pre-Qualification Documents on the Expression of Interest (REoI) as Project(s) Consultant
Background Information
The Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, intends to procure the services of consultants for the execution of her special Presidential Intervention Phase 1 Projects, under the Special University Revitalization Programme and future Tetfund Intervention Projects.
The Management/Council of the University accordingly hereby invites pre-qualification documents on the Expression of Interest from experienced and reputable consulting firms.
2. Scope of the Work/Nature of the Projects
The projects involved are as follows:
Lot I: Design of Students’ Hall of Residence
(a) 2/3 Floor Hostel Building of 500-1000 bed spaces with service facilities.
(b) Rehabilitation/Renovation of Hostel Blocks.
Lot II: Design of Academic Support Services
(a) Single/Twin chamber 500-1000 seater capacity Lecture Theatre/Auditorium
(b) University Main Library
(c) Rehabilitation/ Renovation of Lecture Hall/Rooms
(d) ICT components and accessories
Lot III: Design of Core Academic Buildings
(a) Faculty building with offices, lecture rooms, laboratories and workshop.
Lot IV: Supply of Academic Support Facilities and Consumables
(a) Furnishing of core academic building, lecture rooms, laboratories, workshop etc.
(b) Laboratory equipment/consumables
(c) Medical equipment/supplies
(d) Library books and accessories.
Lot V: Design of Infrastructural Services
(a) General Community Services
3. Eligibility Criteria
All interested consulting firms are to submit the following pre-qualification documents for the Expression of Interest:
(a) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). (b) Tax Clearance Certificates of the Firm for the last three (3) years.
(c) Evidence of VAT registration and remittance in the last three (3) years. (d) Certified audited company annual accounts for the immediate past years.
(e) Evidence of compliance with 2011 Industrial Training Fund Act.
(f) Evidence of compliance with 2004 Pension Act.
(g) Detailed company profile including CV, academic and professional certificates of professional staff to be used for the design.
(h) Evidence of firms’ registration with relevant professional bodies such as ARCON, COREN, QSRBN, etc.
(i) Proposed methodology and work plan, i.e. Technical approach, work plan and organization.
4. Pre-Requisite for Processing of the Pre-Qualification Documents on Expression of Interest
Payment of non-refundable fee of N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) Bank Draft made payable to Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
5. Mode of Document Submission
The completed/packaged pre-qualification documents on the Expression of Interest, which should be sealed and marked ‘confidential’ at the left hand corner of an envelope, is to be addressed/forwarded to:

Closing Date of Submission
Completed pre-qualification documents on the Expression of Interest should reach the office in (5) above not later than 24th February, 2014.
