- This is to invite interested and reputable contractors to indicate interest in the prequalification exercise for the under listed projects under the Polytechnic Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TET fund) take off and special interventions grants.
(A) LOT1 – Construction of Polytechnic Library Building
LOT2 – Construction of Power House
LOT3 – Supply of Library Books
LOT4a – Supply/Installation of Library Furniture and Equipment /e-
Library facilities
LOT4b – Supply/Installation of Auditorium furniture
LOT5 – Provision of ICT Architecture Phase 1
LOT6 – Supply of Utility Vehicles
LOT7a – Supply and Installation of Engineering Workshop Equipment (Mechanical and Electrical)
LOT7b – Supply and Installation of Engineering Laboratory
LOT8a – Chemical Refining Laboratory
LOT8b – Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Laboratory
LOT8c – Fluid Mechanical Laboratory
LOT8d – Geo-mechanics and Soil Laboratory

(B) Pre-Qualification Criteria
Interested Contractors are invited to submit the following documents in sealed Envelopes clearly labelled at the left hand corner.
(i) Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation and Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
(ii) Company Audited Account for the last three (3) years
(iii) Evidence of Company Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.
(iv) Evidence of current Pension Clearance Certificate from PENCOM Evidence of Compliance Certificate with the provisions of section 6(1) (3) of the amended Industrial Training fund (ITF) Act No 19 of 2011
(v) Evidence of similar and verifiable projects executed (not just awarded) within the last three (3) years and knowledge of the industry.
(vii) Company Annual Turnover
(viii) Evidence of VAT Registration Certificate and Remittances including TAX Identification Number.
(ix) Evidence of Key Staff Registration Certificate with Relevant Professional Bodies
(x) Comprehensive Company Profile and Organizational Structure
(xi) Evidence of availability of necessary Equipment/Personnel
(xii) Evidence of Technical capacity
(xiii) Letter of Comfort from Bank
(C) Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
Pre-qualification documents should be in sealed envelope and are to be returned on or before Monday, the 6th of March, 2015. Applications submitted after 12:00 noon on the closing date will not be considered. Contractors making submissions or their representatives should assemble at the polytechnic auditorium same day by 2:pm for technical bidding. All submissions should be addressed to:

(a) This is not an invitation to tender, full tendering will be applied to only contractors that have been pre-qualified and found capable of executing the projects.
(b) This notice shall not be construed to be a commitment on the part of the Polytechnic to award any form of contracts to any respondents nor shall it entitle any organization submitting documents to claim any identity from the Polytechnic.
