2014 Procurement Notice for Works, Goods and Related Services
Introduction:
Federal College of Education, Kontagora, Niger State intends to carry out the Procurement of Goods Works and Related Services under the 2014 Budget appropriation. The College is inviting interested and competent contractors with cognate experience wishing to pre-qualify their Companies to participate in the bidding process in areas listed under A, B and C.
Scope of Procurement for Works, Goods and Related Services:

B. Procurement of Goods:
LOT B.1 – Procurement of One (1 No.) Number Large Sports Utility Vehicle
with the following minimum specification:
2013 Model – Left hand drive, Vehicle style: 4-door Large 4WD SUV, Engine/trans: 4.0 litre petrol V6/6spd auto, Power/torque: 202kW/381Nm petrol, Fuel consumption petrol, listed: 11.5/100km tested: 13.4 1/100km. LOT B.2- Procurement of Two (2 Nos.) Number Utility Vehicles – Doable Cabin Pickup Van: (with the following minimum specification) 2013 Petrol Engine Double Cabin Pickup Model: Left hand drive, Fully Air-Conditioned, Manual Transmission (Gear system), Four-Wheel Drive (with Back-Axles).
LOT B.3 – Procurement of One (1 No.) Number Bus with the following specification: 2013 Model – Left hand drive Procurement of One Number Motor Vehicle (Bus) for Students Excursion with the following specifications: 30- Sealer; Petrol Engine; 4990 kg cab weight; 6.2 metres – 6.9 metres length; 2.0 metres width; Manual gear transmission system; Power steering, Automatic Brake system (ABS); Fully Air Conditioned; Good lighting system with Fog light; Six tyres, and above all the latest model. C. Procurement of Services
LOT C.1 – Research and Development (Staff Capacity Building)
Eligibility Criteria/Requirements:
Interested contractors are requested to forward the following Prequalification document for consideration:
(a) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Memorandum and Article of Association for Limited Liability Companies and verifiable Names of current Directors, Office and Workshop address (es) as registered with CAC. (Not mailing addresses such as Post Office Box or Private Mail Bag contact numbers).
(b) Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the past Three years (2011, 2012, 2013), Please indicate TIN number
(c) Evidence of VAT registration Certificate
(d) Verifiable evidence of similar Jobs successfully executed by the Contractor including locations, cost, letter of award and Completion Certificate
(e) Evidence of financial capability which should include Statement of Account and Audited Reports of the Company for proceeding years (2011, 2012, 2013) reflecting Directors identity, Assets and Liabilities
(f) Letter of Introduction or Reference Letter from the Companies’ Bankers as to their financial capability to undertake the project of interest
(g) Evidence of compliance with Pension Act 2007
(h) List of Names of key Personnel with Academic and Professional qualification and experience
(i) Proof of Registration with Professional body and “Certificate of Practice” from relevant Professional Body as statutorily required in practice
(j) Verifiable list of equipment, workshop machines, tools, etc. available for the Project(s)
(k) Certificate of compliance with Section 6 (1) – (3) of the Industrial Training Fund Amendment Act, 2011, issued by the ITF or Evidence of Registration with ITF.
Note:
- Note that interest could only be indicated in not more than Three (3) areas.
- Original copies of the above listed documents should be available for sighting on demand during the opening of Pre-qualification applications and thereafter.
- That deduction of Education Tax, ITF Tax, VAT and other Taxes are applicable.
Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The Pre-qualification and Tender documents should be enclosed in sealed envelope and boldly written/marked “Pre-Qualification Documents for Tender” indicating each LOT Name and Number for each Tender separately in separate sealed envelopes; and Tenderer’s Name written on the reverse side of each envelope addressed to:

The Pre-qualification document should be deposited in the Tender Box at the Registrar’s office not later than 12.00 noon prompt of the last working day 19th May, 2014. Opening of submitted Prequalification document shall be publicly carried out at the College Governing Council Chamber by 1.00p.m. on 19th May, 2014. Representatives of respondent Companies arc by this Advertisement, invited to witness the scheduled Bid opening process.
Finally, note that only Pre-qualified Bidders would be invited to pick Tender Document.
