Invitation for Pre-Qualification Exercise
Preamble
The Ministry of Water Resource (MWS) invites interested competent and reputable contractors to apply for the pre-qualification exercise as a condition to participate in the bidding of the below listed project. Interested bidders are to submit all the required information as well as comply with all other requirements of pre-qualification for the approved water project, in the Ebonyi State Ministry of Water Resources. Comprehensive details in respect of the project are as follow:
Project Title and Contract:
(A) Ishiagu Water Project, Ivo Lga.
(B) Pre-Qualification Criteria:
(i) Evidence of registration with the corporate affairs commission (CAC).
(ii) Company Audited Account for the last three years.
(iii) Evidence of tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) years.
(iv) List and source of equipment
(v) Indication of technical and administrative staff strength, with academic professional qualifications and years of experience of key personnel available for the project.
(vi) Bank reference from a reputable bank.
(vii) Evidence of payment at the ESMWR cash office of a bank draft or certified cheque of required sum of the project and made payable to Ministry of Water Resources.
(C) Submission pre-Qualification Documents:
All the submissions for this water project should be sealed in an envelope. The envelope should be marked “confidential- Notice of intent to pre-qualify as contractor for…. and delivered either by hand or courier service to the address stated below not later than 12noon on 27th August, 2015
(D) Opening
There shall be a public opening of pre-qualification submission shortly after the closing date and the representatives of all the bidders and the general public are encourage to attend to witness the exercise.
(1) That by the submission of the pre-qualification documents, Ministry of Water Resources is neither considered nor obliged to award a contract to any contractor.
(2) That this advertisement for invitation to pre-qualification shall not be considered as a commitment on the part of the ministry of water resources nor shall entitle any contractor to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the Water Resource, Abakaliki.
(3) Only contractors that have been pre-qualified and found suitable will be invited to competitively tender for the projects.
