Expression of Interest
(1) Interested, reputable, competent and experienced consulting firms of Architects, Civil/Structural Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Quantity Surveyors are hereby invited to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) for the following projects:
(A) Post-tender consultancy services and resident supervision for the construction of International House, University of Ibadan.
(B) Pre and Post tender consultancy services for TETFund, Capital and IGR construction projects in the University of Ibadan
(2) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA SUBMISSION OF:
(a) Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
(b) Current Tax Clearance certificate for the last three (3) years
(c) Provision of Certificate of Compliance from Pension Commission (PENCOM).
(d) Provision of Certificate of Compliance from Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
(c) Company Profile and Organization Structure, including names and resume of Key personnel with address and phone number.
(d) Evidence of Registration of both the company and the key personnel with relevant professional bodies (that is ARCON, COREN, QSRBN etc)
(e) Verifiable list of previous/similar major / project for which consulting services were successfully carried out in the recent past with their locations and clients. (Copies of letters of commission and/or any other verifiable evidence should be attached.)
(h) Provision of V.A.T. Certificate.
(i) Three years audited accounts of the company (2012, 2013, 2014)
(j) Annual turnover as stated in a verifiable tax clearance certificate
(k) Evidence of Financial Capability /Reference letter from a reputable bank
(l) For Joint Ventures, Memorandum of Understanding must be attached
(i) Consent to allow for verification of all the documents submitted including CAC, Inland Revenue, VAT remittances, Pension & Industrial Training Fund and company’s financial standing with the bankers.
(m) Sworn Affidavit (that)
(i) No partner/director of the firm has been convicted in any country for criminal offences related to fraudulent or corrupt practices, or criminal misrepresentation or falsification of facts relating to any matter.
(ii) Disclosing whether or not any member of staff of the University of Ibadan is a present member or former director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder.
(iii) All information supplied is true and all the documents submitted are genuine.
(3) SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS
Bid shall be enclosed in an envelope clearly marked “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST” The title of the project should be written at the top left-hand corner of the covering envelope and should not bear the name of the tendering firm. Bids for each project should be submitted separately. Four (4) sets of each bid should be submitted and hand delivered to:

(4) CLOSING DATE
Submission of Tender closes on 30th July, 2015 at 12.00noon. Any Tender received after this stated date and time will not be considered. Duly submitted Tenders shall be opened same day immediately after the stated closing time in the Senate Chamber of the University.
PLEASE NOTE THAT:
(i) The University of Ibadan is neither committed nor obliged to short-list any firm of consultants.
(ii) The University reserves the right to reject any and/or all bidding packages.
(iii) The University will only recognize and correspond with only authorized officers of the tendering Companies and NOT through individuals or agents acting on their behalf.
(iv) This advertisement for invitation shall neither be construed as a commitment on the part of the University nor shall it entitle any bidder to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the University of Ibadan.
(v) Bidders who have worked for the University before and have history of poor performance, abandonment or termination need not apply.
(vi) All costs incurred in responding to the advert shall be borne solely by the bidders.
(vii) Only pre-qualified bidders shall be invited to submit financial bids.
