Invitation for Pre-Qualification Tendering: Year 2013 UBE Intervention Fund
(A) The State of Osun Universal Basic Education Board on behalf of Universal Basic education Commission (UBEC) Abuja and in compliance with Due Process requirements on award of contracts hereby invites all interested companies and allied Corporate Agencies to forward their documents for pre-qualification and subsequent bidding (By qualified contractors only) for the Construction of Blocks of Classrooms, Procurements of Furniture and ICT Materials.
(B) Scope of work are highlighted below lot by lot Primary/Elementary and JSS/Middle Schools Projects
(i) Construction of 3 blocks of 900 Capacity Model Elementary School building with Laboratory/Library, Offices and Staff common rooms equipped with plumbing and Electrical works inclusive Lots (1-3)
(ii) Construction of 1000 capacity model (JSS) middle school building with Laboratory/Library , Headmaster’s offices and staff common room equipped with plumbing ;and Electrical works inclusive (Lot 1)
(iii) Construction of 9 blocks of (08) classrooms in 8 Primary/Elementary schools (Lot 1-8)
(iv) Construction of a block of (10) classrooms in 02 JSS/Middle schools
(v) Refurbishing/renovation of (06) primary/Elementary schools (Lot 1-6)
(vi) Refurbishing/renovation of (02) JSS/Middle schools (Lot 1-2)
(vii) Construction of (45 units) of 6 holes squatting toilets in primary/Elementary schools (Lot 1-5)
(viii) Construction of (23) Units 6 holes squatting toilets in JSS/Middle schools (Lots 1-8)
(ix) Construction of 3 nos. of motorized Deep well at primary/Elementary and JSS/Middle schools (Lots 1-3)
(C) Procurement and Supply
(i) Procurement and supply of 5000 units of pupils and 200 units Teachers furniture in Primary/Elementary schools (Los 1-20)
(ii) Procurement and supply of 200 units of students and 172 units of Teachers furniture in JSS/Middle schools (Lots 1-15)
(iii) Procurement and supply of ICT Material Lots 1-4
(D) Pre-Qualification Requirements
(i) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
(ii) Evidence of Registration with the State Ministry of Works &Transport and Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives.
(iii) Evidence of Registration with SUBEB, State of Osun
(iv) Tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) years
(v) Evidence of VAT Registration.
(vi) Tax Identification Number (TIN)
(vii) Articles and memorandum of Association
(viii) Evidence of previous job completion with certificates of performances
(ix) Evidence of financial capability
(x) An audited Account of bidder for the last three years
(xi) List of technical personnel and their qualifications.
(E) Tender Fee
Each would-be short listed bidder will be contacted to collect tender documents at a non-refundable graduated fee be paid to the identified Bank.
(F) Submission
Completed tender document must be returned in sealed envelope, stating the contract and specific lot identification/number on the left hand side and addressed to:

Pre-qualification is valid on or before 5th March 2015. The submission will be opened immediately after the closing date which is 5th March 2015 at the State of Osun Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in the presence of all bidders who choose to attend. Late submission of tender documents will not be entertained
Note:
(i) Only the bids of those who fulfill the pre-qualification and tender criteria would be considered. State Universal Basic Education Board is not duty bound to accept the lowest or any bid.
(ii) State Universal Basic Education Board reserves the right to reject any or all prequalification packages.
(iii) Full tendering procedures will be applied to tenders that are found prima facie qualified and capable of executing the listed projects.
