Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors

The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA); and its six (6) Development Centres intends to Pre-qualify Contractors for the execution of the 2014 Capital Projects.

2.0     The Agency hereby invites experienced and reputable Contractors to apply for Pre­qualification for the following Capital Projects:

• In Orbit Insurance and Third Part Liability of NigeriaSat-2 and Sat X;Ground Station building, equipment and other assets at the Agency.
• Procurement of Software/Hardware and licenses
• Procurement of High Specification Desktop, UPS and Laptops
• Procurement Scientific and Laboratory Equipment
• Procurement of Office Equipment and Furniture
• Expansion of CCTV at NASRDA Headquarters
• Expansion and Rehabilitation of Security lighting
• Rehabilitation of buildings
• Construction of Space Incubation Workshop
• Construction of Security Watch Towers at NASRDA Headquarters
• Construction of Space Environment Research Laboratory
• Construction of Electrical Laboratory and Perimeter Fence at the Centre for Space Transport and Propulsion Epe-Lagos.
• Construction of Acoustic and Thermal Insulations Solution, seats and other accessories for die Planetarium building at NASRDA Headquarters.
• Construction of layout/Platform for the Space Museum at NASRDA Headquarters.
• Construction of Drainages and Culvert at NCRS Jos.

3.0     All Firms that wish to be pre-qualified for the 2014 Procurement Plan of the Agency must provide a detailed address of its office with the working telephone, Fax and E-mail address for the purpose of easy access to any of its premises so as to make inspection possible on request.

3.1     Expression of Interest Requirement

3.2     The condition for pre-qualification includes but not limited to the followings:

i.            Registered contractors with the Agency

ii.            Experience/Competence including evidence of jobs Completed

iii.            Staff strength including CV of key Personnel

iv.            Details of projects currently handled by Firm

v.            Details of construction plants/equipment owned by Firm

vi.            A letter from Firm’s Bank stating financing viability

1. Certificate of Incorporation/Article of Association
2. Evidence of VAT Registration

ix.            Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three year

x.            Evidence of registration with PenCom

xi.            Clearance letter from Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Office in compliance with the Provisions of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Amendment Act 2011 Section (6) (i)- (ii) and other relevant certifications from Government approved Establishments.

4.0     Interested contractors are to collect pre-qualification screening forms from the office of the Director, Procurement Department; NASRDA Headquarters, Airport Road, Lugbe Abuja.

5.0     Important Information

• The Agency reserves the right to authenticate all claims made by any contractors/company in its submission.
• Failure to provide any information required may lead to instant disqualification.
• Expression of interest should not be construed as commitment on the part of the Agency
• It shall not entitle such company/contractor to make any claims what so ever or seek any remedy/indemnity from Agency by virtue of such company having responded to the advert.
• No company/contractor should express interest on more than (2) two projects.

6.0     Submission of Pre-qualification Documents

Pre-qualification documents should be sealed marked at the Top Left Corner ‘TENDER FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION AS CONTRACTOR. The Documents should reach the Director-General/CEO, NASRDA, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Space Centre, Pyakasa Junction Airport Road, Lubge Abuja, on or before 1^st July, 2014.

7.0     Please note that formal tendering procedure will be provided only to contractors that have been successfully pre-qualified.
