Invitation for Pre-Qualification and Subsequent Bidding in Respect of the Approved 2009/2010/2011 Capital and Tetfund Projects
In compliance with Due process requirements for certification of procedure for construction and procurement of goods and services, the Management of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe wishes to pre-qualify competent contractors and suppliers for the execution of the underiisted and approved intervention projects.
Interested contractors and suppliers are hereby invited to apply for pre-qualification for the various works as here-below listed:
(1) Construction of students Classroom Block
(2) Construction of Academic Staff Office Complex & General House.
(3) Procurement of 2 No 30 Sealer Toyota Coaster Buses with Insurance.
(4) Procurement of 1 No Agricultural Tractor with Accessories.
(5) Procurement of 500 KVA Perking (UK) sound proof diesels Generator.
(6) Procurement of Furniture for Classrooms and Academic Staff Office.
Pro-Qualification Requirement
To be pre-qualified, interested contractors and suppliers must supply verifiable evidence of:
1) Registration with the College
2) Certificate of Incorporation
3) Tax Certificates for the last 3 years
4) Financial capability and bank support
5) Technical qualifications and experience of key personnel.
6) Details of equipment owned or to be hired.
7) Similar jobs/contracts previously executed.
8) Social/communal responsibility (if any).
Verification of Claims
The College reserves the right to verify the claims made by the contractor and suppliers in their pre-qualification document.
Submission of Bids/Tenders or Pre-Qualification Document
The pre-qualification documents should be enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked, “BIDS/TENDERS” for TETFund Intervention Projects:
2009/2010/2011. On the upper left corner of the envelope and addressed to:

All bids/tenders must be submitted on or before 21st May, 2014. Last bids/tenders will not be accepted.
Note:
This is a pre-qualification exercise. Only the pre-qualified contractors and suppliers shall be invited to tender.
Tender Documents
Tender documents from the pre-qualified contractors and suppliers shall be submitted with evidence of payment of a non-refundable fee of N 50,000 (Fifty thousand naira) only per slot to the College Account collectable from the College Bursar.
Addendum to the Advertisement
Further to the above advertisement, prospective bidders should note the following:
1. Provide evidence of compliance with ITF Amendment Act 2011 on or before 12noon, Thursday, 15th May, 2014.
2. Opening of pre-qualification tenders shall take place on Thursday, 15 May, 2014 in the Council Chamber of the College by 12.00 noon.
3. Financial bid documents containing full specifications, designs and drawings, unpriced Bill of Quantities (BOO.) will be available for collection from Friday, 16th May, 2014. These can be obtained from the Ag. Registrar.
4. Opening of tenders will be on Friday, 30 May, 2014.
TETFund is being informed and invited to the opening of tenders. The General Public is invited.
