Pre-Qualification and Invitation to Tender for 2014 Capital Projects
1.0 Background
The Federal College of Education Yola is desirous of undertaking projects for execution from the 2014 appropriation Act and is interested in engaging the services of any reputable contractor. Applications are hereby invited from interested contractors with relevant cognate experience and good track record of performance to submit their pre-qualification documents for assessment
2.0 Scope of Work
The proposed projects are in the following Lots:
Lot1: Construction of Science Complex Phase II
Lot 2: Renovation of Classrooms and Academic offices
Lot 3: Procurement of Pick-Up Van
Lot 4: Purchase and Installation of 300KVA Perkin Gen. Set
3.0 Prequalification Requirements for the Technical Bidding
i. Valid Certificate of Registration of Incorporation:
ii. Tax/VAT Clearance Certificate for the last three years.
iii. Company Resume/profile including details of key officers, details of equipment owned.
iv. Evidence of Registration with relevant professional bodies and organizations for both the firm and its personnel.
v. Evidence of execution of similar projects, stating clearly the location of the projects, including copies of letters of award and completion certificates.
vi. Company audited accounts for the last three years.
vii. Annual Turnover
viii. Evidence of financial capability and banking support
ix. Evidence of company’s commitment to staff on NHIS and Pension contributions.
x. All evidence of compliance with relevant government rules concerning contract bidding
4.0 Submission of Pre-qualification Documents
Sound pre-qualification documents in wax sealed envelope with “Pre-qualification for (Name the Preferred lot) at FCE Yola” written at the top left hand corner and should be hand delivered of registered post not later than 12noon of Monday 28th April, 2014 to:

Please Note:
1. This is not invitation to tender
2. The Client (FCE, Yola) reserves the right to reject any or all the prequalification packages.
3. Failure to comply with any of the instructions above or to provide any of the listed documents may automatically result in disqualification
4. Only pre-qualified companies will be invited to collect the tender documents after payment of N50, 000.00 (Fifty thousand Naira only) as prescribed tender processing fee. Drafts are to be made payable to the Federal College of Education, Yola.
