Invitation to Pre-Qualification and Tender

Nnamdi Azikiwe University hereby invites reputable, qualified and competent firms to tender for the underlisted works.

(1)     Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of the Dual Carriage Access Road from Gate to the Administration Building (Tower) (for pre-qualification and Tender)

(2)      Construction of Steel Roof Trusses in the Faculty Building for Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences, (for Pre-qualification and Tender)

Tender Requirements

Qualified and interested bidders are required to submit the following documents/evidence for Pre-qualification for the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of the Access Road and/or for pre-qualification and tender for the Steel Roof Trusses along with the tender document.

(a)     Evidence of payment of Education Tax (for Limited Liability Companies only)

(b)     Evidence of payment of non refundable deposit of N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira only) for each of the lots

(c)      Certificate of registration/incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission.

(d)     Current three years tax clearance certificate

(e)      VAT registration certificate

(f)      List of plant and equipment owned by the company and verifiable addresses of their locations

(g)     Details of verifiable experience of similar projects/evidence of timeous completion of projects of similar nature and magnitude.

(h)     Resume of key professional staff to be involved in the work and evidence of registration with the relevant professional bodies.

(i)      Current financial status of the company.

(j)      Evidence of remittance of pension contribution fund for staff of the company from reputable Pension Funds Administrators (PFA) as provided in section 16 sub section 6(d) of the Public Procurement Act 2007.

(k)     Evidence of compliance with the statutory provisions of section 6(1)-(3) of the Industrial Training Fund Amendment Act.

(I)      The Financial bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond of 2% of the bid price.

Collection of Tender Documents for the Steel Roof Trusses

Interested bidders shall on presentation of evidence of payment collect the tender document(s) from the office of the Director of Physical Planning between the hours of 10.00am and 3.00pm daily with effect from 24^th March till the closing date on 5^thMay, 2014.

Submission of Tender Documents for the Steel Roof Trusses

Technical and Financial bids shall be submitted in two different wax-sealed envelopes and labeled “Technical Bid” and “Financial bid” respectively with the Company’s name indicated at the back of each envelope. Both envelopes should be wax-sealed and placed in a third envelope also wax-sealed and marked with the relevant project name at the Top right hand corner and addressed to: The Registrar Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka not later than 5^th May 2014 on or before 12.00 noon,

Opening of Tender Documents for the Steel Roof Trusses

Bidders should note that all Bids received shall be opened in the Council Chambers of the University by 1.00pm on 5^th May, 2014..

Submission of Prequalification Bids for the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of the Dual Carriage Access Road.

Closing date for the submission of the pre-qualification bids is 7^th April 2014 and the public opening follows immediately thereafter in the Council Chambers of the University on Monday 24^th March. The envelopes should be wax-sealed and marked with the project name at the top right corner and addressed to: The Registrar Nnamdi Azikiwe University not later than 12.00 noon on 7^th April 2014.

Bidders and their representatives and interested members of the public are by this notice invited to attend the bid opening sessions on the stated dates time and venue.

Nothing in this advertisement snail be construed to be a commitment on the part of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Note:

Please note that only contractors who have executed single similar projects of value above N40.0million and N200.0milllon for the steel roof trusses and the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Dual Access Road respectively can apply
