2.0 Condition for Eligibility:
All Interested Contractor shall be required to submit the following documents:
Mandatory Requirements
a. Evidence of Incorporation of company with Corporate Affairs Commission including Articles and Memorandum of association, forms CO2 and CO7.
b. Evidence of VAT registration and remittances.
c. Evidence of current Tax Clearance Certificate & Remittance for the past three (3) years.
d. Evidence of compliance with Pension Reform Act, 2004 and remittances where applicable.
e. Evidence of compliance with the provision of the amended Industrial Training Fund (ITF) 2011 Act and remittances where applicable.
f. List of experienced Administrative and Technical Staff to be deployed on the project including CV’s and photocopies of academic and professional qualifications like ARCON, COREN, COBOL etc.
g. Evidence of SIMILAR & verifiable projects executed within the past five years including copies of letters of awards and completion certificates.
h. Evidence of Financial capability and banking support/reference letter from a reputable Bank stating willingness to grant a credit line of a minimum of N30.00 Million in order to carry out such a project or Company’s Bank statement of account indicating credit balance of over N30.00 Million.
Additional Requirements
- Company Audited Account for the past three (3) years.
- Provision of Tax Identification Number (TIN) by each Contractor.
- Evidence of Company’s Annual turnover.
- Comprehensive Company profile and organizational structure.
- Comprehensive list of plants and machineries to be deployed to the project with evidence of possession.
- Sworn Affidavit indicating that all information provided are true in every respect that the company is not in receivership and none of its Directors were ever convicted of fraudulent or financial impropriety.
- Evidence of corporate social responsibility rendered (if any).
- Sighting of original copies of all the documents listed in the profile must be presented during opening of bids failure of which will lead to automatic disqualification.
- Payment of Non Refundable Prequalification Fee of Twenty Thousand Naira Only (N20,000.00) can be made directly to the University’s IGR Account with Zenith Bank Plc, Gusau Main Branch, Account No. 1013429754, Sort Code 057370013 and receipt obtained at the University’s Lodge, Gusau. Photocopy of payment receipt should be attached to the Pre-qualification document.
- Submission of Certified Bank Draft for 1.5% of Total Tender Sum as Bid Security at Tender stage after being pre-qualified.
3.0 Verification of Claims:
Please note that Federal University Gusau reserves the right to verify claims made for the purpose of pre-qualification and financial Tender as submitted by any interested Contractors.
4.0 Submission of Pre -Qualification Documents:
Pre-qualification documents should be neatly packaged in a sealed envelope marked “Pre – Qualification 2014 Appropriated Capital Projects, Tetfund 2013 Take-Off Projects Or 2014 Special Presidential Intervention on Needs Assessment” indicating in each case, the project Lot at the top right hard corner of each of the envelope and addressed to: The Registrar, Federal University Gusau, P.M. B. 1001, Gusau, Zamfara State.
Submission of documents will close is 27th March 2014 at the University’s Lodge located in Gusau behind Federal Ministry of Works/Federal Road Safety Corps, Gusau near Gada-biyu along Gusau/Sokoto Road, Gusau. To be considered for Commercial tendering, any bidder must score at least 70% and above for the listed category/Lot.
5.0 Opening of Documents:
Opening of bids win hold in the presence of applicants or their representatives at the University’s Lodge located in Gusau behind Federal Ministry of Works, Gusau/Federal Road Safety Corps, Gusau near Gada-biyu along Gusau/Sokoto Road, Gusau, Zamfara State on Thursday, March 27, 2014 by 12:00 Noon.
6.0 Sighting of Original Documents Tendered:
Please note that the Federal University Gusau request all bidders to present all original Pre-qualification tender documents for sighting during the opening of bids exercise. Any bidder who fails to present the original documents during the opening exercise will be disqualified automatically.
7.0 Important Notice:
All applicants are to note that:-
- No one single Bidder should Tender for more than 2-projects at a time.
- Each Lot should be paid for in separate Bank Teller and official receipt obtained accordingly.
- Only firms capable of executing the jobs would be published on the notice board and contacted.
- Nothing in this advert shad be construed to be a commitment by Federal University Gusau.
- Failure to comply with any of the above instructions or to provide any of the above listed documents may automatically result in disqualification.
- Bidders are to note that participation in the pre-qualification exercise does not grant any Company the right to be considered for Tender/Financial proposal. The University shall not enter into any correspondence with unsuccessful bidders.
- Bidders should note that the pre-qualification is not an invitation to Tender or bid and does not create any commitment by the University to any company. Only Pre-qualified Companies will be invited to tender for the projects.
- The University reserves the right to discontinue with the Pre-qualification and Tender exercise.
