Pre-qualification of contractors and call to Tender for Projects and Other Jobs
01. Preamble
Abia State University desires to undertake the Construction/Renovation/rehabilitation of the following buildings/facilities with the Special Presidential Intervention Funds allocated to it.
They include:

02. Pre-Qualification Requirement
Interested competent contractors, who wish to submit to the pre-qualification exercise and bid for any/all of the above-listed jobs, are to send the under-listed qualification requirements to the undersigned, under one cover:
I) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
II) Tax Clearance Certificate of the firm for the last three years.
III) Evidence of VAT Registration (if/where applicable).
IV) Evidence of PENCOM registration and remittance.
V) Evidence of Registration as a Contractor with Abia State Government.
VI) Evidence of Registration as a contractor with Abia State University.
VII) Audited Account for the past (3) three years.
VIII) Current evidence of Financial Capability from the Banker(s).
IX) Corporate profile of the firm, showing technical competence of personnel.
X) Evidence of performance on similar projects and Contract award letters.
XI) Registration with Industrial Training Fund.
03 Submission of Tenders/Bid Documents
Interested Bidders are requested to obtain the bid documents from the Director of Physical Planning, office of the Vice-Chancellor on payment of a non-refundable Bid/Tender fees as specified on the table above. Pre-Qualification and project/job tender documents, should be enclosed in separate envelops; clearly marked as appropriate and submitted to:
Registrar/ Secretary to Council Tenders Board on before 4th February, 2014.
