Request for Expression of Interest (ROI) in Respect of Outsourcing of Catering Services of University Building and Premises
1.0 Introduction
1.1 The Sokoto State University intends to outsource its catering services to a reputable service provider who will serve regular meals at the University Canteen(s) for both staff and students. The successful service providers(s) for our three outlets shall serve local and national cuisines at student’s friendly rates with an outlook to serve continental dishes in the future.
1.2 The University therefore, wishes to invite experienced service providers for pre-qualification/expression of interest for service outlets for the provision of impeccable catering services as indicated below:
i. Main Campus
ii. School of Developmental Studies
2.0 Eligibility Criteria
Prospective service providers are to provide the following minimum pre-qualification requirements:
a) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including Certificate of Incorporation and Articles of Associations.
b) Tax Clearance Certificates of the following years: 2010, 2011 and 2012.
c) VAT Registration and Remittance.
d) Detailed Company Profile.
e) Proven evidence of experience in handling similar services executed within the last three years satisfactorily.
f) Evidence of financial and technical capability/reference letter from a reputable bank.
g) Memorandum of Understanding for Joint Ventures.
h) Possession of Registration Certificate to operate a Catering Services Company from State, Local or Federal health Institution.
i) Audited Report for the last three years (2010, 2011, and 2012).
j) Registration with relevant profession bodies.
3.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The pre-qualification documents shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and labeled “Pre-qualification of Interest” marked with “Catering Services” at the top right corner and addressed to:

3.1 Closing date of submission of EOI is 5th December 2013.
3.2 Only firms whose Pre-qualification and expression of interest document fulfill the requirements would be assessed for engagement.
3.3 All enquiries are to be directed to the Director, PP&M.
3.4 The University is not bound to shortlist any service provider that does not fulfill the requirement nor incur any liabilities and, or assign any reason thereof.
