Invitation for Pre-Qualification 2014 UBE Intervention Fund Projects
Applications are hereby invited from reputable and competent Firms/Companies for pre-qualification to tender for 2014 UBE Intervention Fund projects.
(1) Project Description: Development of Infrastructure
The projects which cut across the three categories of Pre-Primary, Primary and Junior Secondary Education consist of construction of twin one-storey 12-Classroom blocks and Renovation of 5 classroom blocks.
(2) Pre-Qualification Requirements
Only Companies/Contractors that have proven capability/relevant experience and good track record will be considered for pre-qualification to tender.
Companies are required to submit their profile with under-listed documents in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Pre-qualification to Tender” addressed to the Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, Port Harcourt Road, P.M.B. 1500, Owerri, Imo State not later than 4.00pm Monday, 2nd February, 2015.
(a) Certificate of registration/incorporation issued by CAC.
(b) Current Tax Clearance Certificate
(c) Evidence of similar projects executed
(d) List of equipment and resume’ of key professional staff to be involved in construction work.
(e) Evidence of healthy banking relationship
(f) Current VAT registration Certificate
(g) Audited accounts for 3 years (for limited liability companies)
(h) Evidence of registration with the Board and State/Federal Ministry of Works.
(3) Tender Procedure:
Pre-qualified bidders are required to pay non- refundable tender fee of N50.000 for Category ‘A’ or N150,000 for Category ‘B’ respectively to SUBEB UBA Account at Douglas Road, Owerri and collect receipt from SUBEB Cash Office on presentation of bank paying-in teller.
Bidding documents can be collected by pre-qualified companies/firms from Works Department, SUBEB, Owerri from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, daily from Wednesday, 4th February, 2015.
(4) Submission of Tender:
The bids, with the tender documents must be enclosed in sealed envelopes clearly marked “TENDER FOR 2013 UBE INTERVENTION FUND PROJECT”, addressed to:

(5) Opening of Bids
The bids properly submitted will be opened on Wednesday, 11 February, 2015 at 1.00pm prompt.
