Call for Pre-Qualification Tender(s) by Interested and competent Contractors
1. Background Information
Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki is desirous of undertaking the construction, renovation/rehabilitation and procurement of some Special Presidential Intervention Phase 1 and Tetfund Intervention Projects/Equipment.
Accordingly, the University Management/Council hereby calls for pre-qualification Tender(s)/documents from interested and competent contractors for the execution of the following Projects/Equipment;
2. Scope of the Work/Nature of the Projects/ Equipment
The projects/supplies include:
Lot I: Students Hall of Residence
(a) 2/3 Floor Hostel Building of 500- 1000 bed space with service facilities.
(b) Rehabilitation/Renovation of Hostel Blocks
Lot II: Academic Support Services
(a) Single/Twin Chamber 500-1000 seater capacity Lecture Theatre Auditorium
(b) University Main Library.
(c) Rehabilitation/Renovation of Lecture Halls/Rooms.
(d) ICT Components and Accessories.
Lot III: Core Academic Building
(a) Faculty Building with Offices, Lecture Rooms, Laboratories and Workshop.
Lot IV: Academic Support Facilities and Consumables
(a) Furnishing of Core Academic Building, Lecture Rooms, Laboratories and Workshop.
(b) Laboratory equipment and consumables.
(c) Medical equipment/supplies.
(d) Library books and accessories.
Lot V: Infrastructural Services
(a) General Community Services.
3. Eligibility Criteria
All reputable and interested Contractors are to submit the following pre- qualification documents:
(a) Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
(b) Tax Clearance Certificate of the Firm for the last three (3) years.
(c) Evidence of VAT registration and remittance in the last three (3) years.
(d) Company audited accounts for 2010, 2011 and 2012.
(e) Detailed company profile including Curriculum Vitae (CV), academic and professional certificates of professional staff to be used for the project.
(f) Evidence of experience of similar jobs executed in the last five (5) years.
(g) Evidence of compliance with the Pension Reform Act 2004 (as amended),
(h) Evidence of compliance with the amended Industrial Training Fund Act 2011.
(i) Evidence of financial capacity from a reputable bank.
4. Pre-Requisite for Processing Of the Pre-Qualification Documents
Payment of non-refundable fee of Fifty Thousand Naira only (N50,000.00) made payable, by Bank Draft, to Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
5. Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The well-packaged pre-qualification documents must be in sealed envelope(s), labeled “Pre-Qualification for (appropriate project)” at the top left hand corner and addressed/hand delivered to:

6 Closing Date of Submission
Closing date for the submission of completed pre-qualification documents shall be on 24th February, 2014
