Consultancy Opportunity for Agro Processing Service Providers and Training Experts

Mercy Corps seeks registered local organization or consultants that have experience in the establishment and management of agro processing centres in rural communities to implement a training program on modern cassava, rice, maize, soybeans, groundnut, or other processing techniques and basic principles in micro enterprise, irrigation /water resource management, dairy product processing and animal feed production/ veterinary services at different sites in the project focal states (Kaduna, Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau)

The program also involves construction of model agro processing centres/ installation of community friendly processing machines for commodities such as cassava, maize, rice, soybeans and groundnut in the target communities.

This training program will help build the capacity of the benefitting community members on modern processing techniques and management, group dynamics and leadership as well as basic micro enterprise skills, using applied learning techniques. The establishment of agro processing centre in the community, will serve as a hub where high quality and value added agricultural products can be produced to boost economic interactions between the pastoralist and farmers in the target sites.
