This request for Expression of Interest (EOI) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for the above mentioned Project that appeared in the UN Development Business Issue No: No. 608 August 16th2007 and reissued on 17th Dec, 2013,which appeared on Thisday & The Nation Newspapers.
The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from the World Bank and French Development Agency towards the cost of the 2nd Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP-2) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments for Consultancy Services for detailed assessment, prioritisation, engineering design, and environmental and social management plan for reinstating/constructing damaged, washed away and missing river crossings on the rural road network in Adamawa State.
The Adamawa State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU), of the Second Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP-2) on behalf of Adamawa State Government invites eligible qualified Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultants must provide information (brochures, description of similar assignments. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
The overall objective of the Consultancy services include
- To carry out detailed assessment the condition of the identified river crossings, evaluate the relative economic and social importance and benefits of the river crossings, and carry out prioritization and ranking of the river crossings
- To carry out the detailed engineering design of about 30N0. river crossings
- To prepare the Environmental and Social Management Plan for the proposed interventions.
The expected duration of this assignment will be 4 months for detailed assessment, prioritisation, engineering design, and environmental and social management plan for reinstating/constructing damaged, washed away and missing river crossings on the rural road network in Adamawa State.
Submission of Expression of Interest (EOI)
One original and five copies of the Expression of Interest must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Expression of Interest” Consulting Services For the detailed assessment, prioritisation, engineering design, and environmental and social management plan for reinstating/ constructing damaged, washed away and missing river crossings on the rural road network in Adamawa State and should be deposited in the procurement unit of RAMP-2 located at the SPIU Office at the address below on or before 20th March, 2015 by 12 Noon Late Submissions will not be accepted.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the consultant’s qualification (CQS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers published in January 2011.
