Pre-Qualification to Tender
1.0 Preamble
The Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria wishes to advertise the invitation for pre-qualification of Contractors/suppliers for:
a) Community based Agro -Forestry Research projects for renewable Energy
b) Food security, Rural employment and Income Research Generation module.
2.0 Pre-qualification Requirements
Interested contractors/Suppliers are required to submit their application along with the following documents:
a) Evidence of Incorporation /Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (C AC)
b) Evidence of Tax clearance for the last three years (2010-2012)
c) Evidence of VAT Registration and Remittance for the past three (3) years (2010- 2012)
d) Company Audited account for the last three years (2010-2012)
e) Company profile which must include Names, Qualification and experience of key personnel and the list of projects previously executed with letters of award and completion certificates
f) Evidence of financial capabilities and Bank support reference
g) Evidence of compliance with the provisions of Pension Reform Act. 2004.
h) Certificate of compliance with section 6 (1) – (3) of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Amendment Act.2011
i) List of equipment owned or lease hold by the company relevant to the smooth execution of the project
j) Sworn in affidavit that none of the staff of Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria is either a director or staff I of the company.
3.0 Submission of Pre-qualification Documents
Pre-qualification documents in sealed envelope with inscription “Pre-qualification to Tender” for the project stated above shall be delivered not later than 23rd September, 2013. The pre-qualification (documents shall be opened at the Institute on Monday September 23rd, 2013 by 12:00 noon. Pre -qualification documents should be addressed and submitted to:

4.0 Notification of Pre-qualified contractors
Name of the Pre-qualified contractors shall be displayed on the Institute’s Notice Board.
5.0 Note:
a) Submission of pre-qualified documents to the Institute is neither a commitment nor an obligation to award any contract to any contractor.
b) The advertisement for pre-qualification should not be construed, as commitment on the part of the Institute nor shall it entitle any contractor to make any claim whatsoever and seeks any indemnity from the Institute.
c) The Institute reserves the rights to verify any of the documents submitted. Any discrepancies found would disqualify the contractor.
