Invitation to Tender for 2014 Capital Projects
Introduction
The Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) is a statutory body established by the Federal Government of Nigeria through Act 12 of 1995 (CAP L13, LFN 2004). Its major thrust is to regulate the practice of the Library and Information Science profession in Nigeria. The Council wishes to invite interested contractors / suppliers to tender for Goods and Services to be funded through Year 2014 Federal Government Capital Budget Appropriation. Interested reputable and qualified Manufacturers, Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants are hereby invited to collect tender documents for items listed below:

Lot1 Prison Library Outreach (To Take Library to a Disadvantaged Group for Transformation and Reformation) in Kuje, Abuja, FCT.
Lot 2 Establishment of E- Resources (E-Books, E-journals, etc)
Lot 3 Establishment and Installation of WEB Based Facilities for Database Migration
Lot 4 Readership Campaign and Formation of Book Club in Nigerian Schools
Lot 5 Development of Facilities in Library and Information Science (LIS) Programmes
Lot 6 Quality Assurance for Nigerian School Libraries in FCT plus 2 States. Development of Minimum Standards and Benchmarks
Eligibility Criteria
Interested competent firms who wish to tender for the execution of the above mentioned projects must provide the following:
- Evidence of compliance Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission.
- Detailed Company profile with list of staff, qualifications and years of experience
- Evidence of Tax Clearance certificate for the last 3 years (2011, 2012, and 2013).
- VAT certificate and remittance.
- Evidence of financial capability, banking support (statement of accounts for the last 6 months)
- Evidence of having undertaken similar projects/ consultancy assignments carried out within the last 3years, (photocopies of letters of award should be enclosed as evidence).
- Evidence of registration with a pension administrator and evidence of remittance.
- Evidence of compliance certificate with the Industrial training Fund Act of 2011.
Collection of Tender Documents
- Interested companies should obtain Tender documents from the office of Chief Admin. Officer, Administration Department, (3rd floor), LRCN, Maitama Abuja, upon payment of a tender fee of Ten Thousand naira (N10,000) only, to the bank account details below:

Contractors are then expected to proceed to the Finance and Accounts Department (4th Floor) where they will exchange their tellers for an official receipt before collection of the Tender documents in the office of the Chief Admin officer (3rd Floor).

Completed technical and financial bid shall be submitted in two separate envelopes, sealed and clearly marked Technical bid for lot No, and Financial bid for specified Lot No. Write the project title clearly and address to:

Closing and Opening Of Bids: Bid submission closes at 12 noon on Monday 15th December, 2014, while the bid opening shall commence immediately, after close of submission at the LRCN Conference Hall, 4th Floor, LRCN, Maitama, Abuja.
