Invitation to Prequalification of Contractors and Tendering for Procurement of Goods and Services on 2011 Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETF) Special Intervention Projects (BATCHES 2 & 3) at FCE Abeouta
1.0 Introduction
The Federal College of Education, Abeokuta intends to execute some TETF projects. The Management is desirous to acquire and construct the projects in the current fiscal year to enhance teaching, learning and research for the realization of national goals in education.
In view of the above, the College is inviting interested, competent and reputable contractors to prequalify and tender for the following strategic projects described below:

3.0 Prequalification Requirements for Contractors
Interested contractors are invited to submit the following pre-qualification documents:
i) Verifiable evidence of incorporation with corporate Affairs Commission with Incorporation no. boldly indicated on the front page of company’s profile letter.
ii) Verifiable evidence of TAX clearance certificate for the last three years with Tax Identification Number (TIN) boldly indicated on the certificate.
iii) Evidence of VAT registration
iv) Evidence of valid certificate of compliance with Pension Act issued by National Pension Commission (PENCOM)
v) Evidence of audited account of the firm by ANAN/ICAN members for the last three years indicating the share capital
vi) Evidence of remittance of I.T.F
vii) Verifiable office and workshop address(es); Not P.O. Box but should include telephone nos. of company directors
viii) Verifiable list of executed similar jobs (i.e. Letter of awards and Certificate of completion/authentication.
ix) Evidence from the company’s bankers as to its financial capability to undertake the project.
x) A comprehensive company profile for contractors to include verifiable key Nigeria Professional body registration certificates of staff.
- Arrangement of documents (in soft and hard copies) should follow the order in the list above appropriately numbered.
Each parcel should have a table of content indicating the pages on which these items are to be found.
4.0 Eligibility/Pre-qualification Documents
The complete pre-qualification and tender documents must be forwarded in a sealed envelopes and marked at the top left hand corner Confidential and boldly written Pre-Qualification or Tender for (Project Name) and Addressed to:

5.0 Prequalification Process Period
The schedule of the pre-qualification process is as follows
Opens: Monday 30th June, 2014
Close: Monday 11th August, 2014
Note:
- Incorrect address or labeled submission and those received after the closing date shall be rejected.
- This advertisement of invitation for pre-qualification and tendering shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of FCE, Abeokuta nor shall it entitle any company to make any claim whatsoever or compensation having responded to this advertisement
- All expensed incurred in preparing pre-qualification and tendering responses and all expenses otherwise associated with this exercise shall be borne solely by the prospective company that has been successfully pre-qualified, screened and found suitable to provide the services.
- Only suitable prequalified contractors will get their bids opened.
- Interested company or companies/contractors are expected to:
(a) Pay a non-refundable tender fee of =N= 20,000.00 only to the College Bursary
(b) Collect tender document from Works and Services Department of the College with original copy of the receipt collected in [a] above
(c) Accompany their bids with affidavit of disclosure, if any officer of FCE Abeokuta is a former or present director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bid.
(d) Ensure the prequalification and tender documents are submitted to the tender box on or before 12 noon, 11th August, 2014.
Pre-qualification and tender documents received will be opened immediately on the closing date at FCE Music Recital Hall.
