Invitation for Pre-Qualification for TETFund Normal Intervention 2007 – 2013 Merged, Normal Intervention 2013 -2014, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) And Federal Government Revitalization Fund
The Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island invites interested, competent and reputable contractors to make submissions for pre-qualification for the under listed projects to be built at the University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State under the TETFund Normal Intervention 2007 – 2013 Merged, Normal Intervention 2013 -2014, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and Federal Government Revitalization Fund.
(A.) Description of the Works:
The project shall consist of the construction of faculty buildings, Upgrade of Entrepreneurship Centre, Maintenance and Installation of Workshop Laboratory Equipment for Faculty of Pharmacy, Establishment of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre and Provision of Textbooks and Journals on Insurance and other related fields, and will be located at the permanent site of the University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State.
Normal Intervention 2007 – 2013 Merged
(a.) Construction of Faculty of Management Science.
(b.) Construction of Faculty of Social Science.
Normal Intervention 2013 – 2014
(a.) Upgrade of Entrepreneurship Centre.
Federal Government Revitalization Fund
(a.) Maintenance and Installation of Workshop and
Laboratory Equipment for Faculty of Pharmacy.
National Insurance Commission (NAICOM)
(a.) Establishment of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre.
(b.) Provision of Textbooks and Journals on Insurance and other related fields.
(.B) Pre-Qualification Requirements:
Interested companies are requested to submit the following documents/information with verifiable evidences for assessment/consideration:
(i.) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) by inclusion of Certificate of Incorporation and Article of Association.
(ii.) Evidence of current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last Three years (2012, 2013 and 2014), and Tax Identification Number (TIN).
(iii.) Evidence of Compliance Certificate with Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
(iv.) Evidence of Registration with relevant Professional bodies.
(v.) Evidence of Registration with and proof of remittance to PENCOM.
(vi.) Detailed Company profile with evidence of experience and Curriculum Vitae of Technical Staff.
(vii.) Evidence of Financial Capability reference letter from a reputable bank.
(viii.) VAT Registration Certificate and evidence of remittance.
(ix.) Company’s Audited Account for the last Three years from a registered accounting firm.
(x.) List of similar projects previously/currently undertaken including letter of awards, completion certificates and period of execution and project costs.
(xi.) Any additional information that may enhance the chance of the contractor.
(C.) Submission of Applications:
Technical Bid (Pre-qualification documents) should be sealed and clearly marked as (pre-qualification based on the project you intend to submit your documents for) as applicable. The envelope must be clearly marked with Company name and name of project at the back.
The documents are to be submitted at the address indicated below not later than 12.00 noon on Monday, March 23rd, 2015 and addressed to:

Only short-listed contractors will be invited to tender for the projects for which they have been pre-qualified.
(D.) Important Information
(i.) The University reserves the right to verify all pre-qualification documents submitted and carry out a post-qualification exercise, if deemed necessary.
(ii.) All costs incurred by any Company as a result of this pre-qualification and any subsequent request for information shall be at the expense of the Company.
(iii.) This advertisement shall not be considered as a commitment on the part of the University, nor shall it entitle any prospective contractor to make any claim whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the University.
(iv.) All documents not securely sealed will be rejected.
(v.) The University reserves the right to reject any or all documents.
(vi.) Late submissions will not be entertained under any circumstances.
