Invitation for Pre-Qualification for Insurance Underwriters/Brokers
Introduction:
The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) hereby invites applications from interested reputable Insurance Companies and Brokers wishing to participate in underwriting and Management of the National Assembly Service Commission’s Insurance policies.
The policies are:
1. Motor Vehicle Insurance.
2. Group Life Assurance for Members.
3. Group Life Assurance for Staff.
4. Group Personal Accident Insurance.
5. Fire / Special perils / Burglary Insurance.
Criteria for Appointment
Interested Companies are required to provide the following
1. Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
2. NAICOM Approval / Registration to Operate.
3. Evidence of valid reinsurance arrangement for classes of business applied for.
4. Current 3 Years Tax Clearance.
5. Evidence of certified three (3) years Audited Accounts (2011,2012 and 2013).
6. Evidence of Compliance with Pension Reform Act
7. Evidence of meeting solvency requirements as prescribed by Insurance Act 2003.
8. Company Profile.
9. Evidence of Current membership of Nigeria Insurances Association
10. Evidence of current membership of Nigeria Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) (for Brokers).
11. Evidence of VAT Registration.
12. Evidence of similar jobs
13. Evidence of Compliance with Industrial Training Fund Act.
14. Evidence of Professional Indemnity Cover (for Brokers).
15. Original copies of documents would be made available for sighting when required.
16. A Sworn affidavit certifying that the documents submitted for the pre-qualification exercise are genuine.
Note that:
(a) National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) reserves the right to verify the authenticity of any claim on the documents submitted.
(b) National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) reserves the right to reject any Pre-qualification document that does not meet the above criteria without giving any reasons.
Submission of Pre-Oualificat1on Document
Pre-qualification documents should be submitted in a sealed envelope,
addressed to the Executive Chairman National Assembly Service
Commission, Plot 664 T.O.S Benson Crescent off Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
way, Utako District, PMB 558, Abuja.
The envelope should be dropped in Tender Box in Room 1.17 National
Assembly Service Commission complex not later than 12 .00 noon, 12 May, 2014.
Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents:
Pre-qualification shall be opened publicly in the National Assembly Service Commission Conference Room, 2nd Floor, by 12, noon on 12th May, 2014.
