Invitation for Pre-Qualification
(A) Introduction:
In compliance with the Public Procurement Act 2007, Galaxy Backbone Ltd invites prospective Contractors, Suppliers and Vendors to pre-qualify to undertake works, goods and other services slated for the 2015 financial year as follows:
(B) LIST OF PROJECTS:
Lot 1 – Supply of office stationery
Lot 2 – Supply of diesel
Lot 3 – Supply of office equipment and accessories
Lot 4 – Supply of office furniture
Lot 5- Supply and installation of computer, networking and IT Equipment and accessories
Lot 6- Maintenance of office building
Lot 7- Maintenance of Motor Vehicles
Lot 8- Maintenance of Computers and Office Equipment
Lot 9- Supply and installation of power generating equipment
Lot 10 – Provision of ICT Consulting Services
Lot 11- Maintenance of Generators and Plants
Lot 12- VSAT installation and support services
Lot 13- Training and Capacity Building services
Lot 14 – Provision of Security Services
Lot 15- Supply of Motor Vehicles
Lot 16 – Software Systems Consulting and Implementation
Lot 17 – Provision of Travel Services
Lot 18 – Provision of Insurance Services
Lot 19- Supply and Installation of Network Security equipment and support
Lot 20- Provision of terrestrial Connectivity services and support services
Lot 21- Design and development of Software applications and Solutions
(C) Eligibility/Requirement
In order to be considered for pre-qualification, interested reputable Contractors and Service providers must have necessary competence and possess the following:
(i) Certificate of the Company’s Registration/Incorporation verifiable from Corporate Affairs Commission
(ii) Certified True Copies of Memorandum and Articles of Association including forms C07 and C02 of the Company
(iii) Tax Clearance Certificate for the last 3 years: 2012, 2013 and 2014
(iv) Tax Identification Number
(v) Evidence of VAT registration and remittance of VAT, WHT and PAYE
(vi) Company profile with CV/Certificates of professional staff
(vii) Evidence from the company’s bankers as to its financial capacity to undertake services it is bidding for
(viii) A sworn statement that the company is not in receivership or financially/legally encumbered
(ix) Evidence of membership of the relevant professional association, society or organization
(x) Evidence of Certificate of Compliance from PENCOM in accordance with the Pension Reform Act 2004.
(xi) Evidence of Certificate of Compliance by Industrial Training Fund in line with the provisions of the Amended Act 2011.
(xii) Company’s audited accounts for the past three years
(xiii) Verifiable documentary evidence of similar and other jobs successfully executed within the last three years. Such evidence shall be in form of valid and verifiable letters of award of contract, contract agreement and completion certificates
(xiv) Evidence of Registration with the National Database of Contractors, Consultant and Service Providers by the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) in line with sections 5(h) and 6(1) (f)
(D) Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
(1) The documents should be arranged in the order listed and each chapter separated by dividers
(2) Interested and reputable companies are required to enclose all Pre-qualification documents in sealed envelopes, marked “2015 Pre-qualification” indicating the LOT Number boldly on the envelope and addressed to:

(E) Closing Time and Date for Submission of Documents
(1) Pre-qualification documents should be submitted on or before 21st April, 2015 at 12 noon.
(2) Any document submitted after the deadline shall be rejected
(3) Only successful entries will be invited for the next stage of the bidding process
(F) Important Information
(1) This is not an Invitation to Tender
(2) Galaxy reserves the right to verify the authenticity of any claims made on the documents submitted by companies
(3) Failure to comply with the instructions and provide any required documents may automatically result in disqualification.
(4) Pre-qualification does not commit Galaxy to award contracts to those pre-qualified
(5) Submission of false documents is an offence and will lead to disqualification and prosecution
