Expression of Interest – Prequalification of Vendors
A. Introduction
Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) established in 1997 is a company registered under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria based on the privatization of the power distribution in Nigeria.
AEDC is required to maintain power quality in line with prevailing Nigeria regulations as set by the Nigeria Electrical Regulatory Commission (NERC) in their customer’s service standards of Performance, together with internationally accepted standards (IEC 60050).
We hereby invite suitable and competent vendors to apply for registration in the categories listed below:

- Interested vendors must bear all the costs associated with the preparation and submission of their proposals. AEDC shall not bear any cost with relation to the requirements of this advert.
- Formal application letters complete with all the registration requirements as listed below must be submitted either by courier or in person to the following address

All submissions must be made with the following relevant documents:
- Documents relating to the legal registration of the company;
- Detailed Company Profile;
- Confirmation of the financial capacity of the company (Current 3 years Audited Statement of Accounts)
- Current Tax Clearance Certificate and for the year 2012 and 2013
- Evidence of VAT registration
- Evidence of compliance with the provisions of Pension Reforms Act 2004
- Evidence of Manufacturer’s Accreditation (if applicable)
- Evidence of relevant contracts handled in the past within proposed category
- At least 2 verifiable References with respect to awards handled
- Partner ID for HP, Dell, Cisco, etc ( For IT Equipment Suppliers Only)
- Other relevant supporting and statutory documents
- The preliminary screening shall be based on the received applications by the closing date. All successful vendors from the preliminary screening shall be required to obtain the Vendor Registration form and registration instructions upon prequalification shall be communicated to the respective vendor.
- Completed forms must be submitted with the relevant documents to the address above within a timeframe that shall be communicated accordingly.
- Successful applicants shall be written to at the end of the final review and the same shall be listed in the AEDC official database.
- For further clarification on any aspect of this Expression of Interest advert, please send an e-mail to aedcprocurement@gmail.com quoting “Expression of Interest /Vendor Registration” on the subject of the e-mail.
- As part of the prequalification process, AEDC may visit the locations of the vendors to access their capacity as stated on the registration form. Only the pre-qualified vendors would be invited to participate in the related supply to any enquiry to bid. This call for expression of Interest does not amount to a commitment on the part of AEDC and nothing in this EOI shall be construed to be a binding legal contract.
Newly incorporated companies are encouraged to apply. However, you must provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate competency and capacity within the interested category.
The closing date for this expression of Interest is 12.00 noon local time, 10th of June, 2014.
