Application for 2015 Hajj License and Slots Allocation to Travel Agencies
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) wishes to inform all Registered Travel Agencies interested in Hajj operation, that application for 2015 Hajj licensing and slots allocation has commenced:
(2) CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION
(I) The Applicants must be a Travel Agency Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with a minimum share capital of at least N30,000,000 and must posses valid IATA, with corporate office and accredited IATA staff.
(II) Applicants must have previous reputable record of performance in Hajj operation or at least two (2) years satisfactory licensed Umrah operations.
(III) The Applicant must have no pending criminal case(s) including fraud before any court in Nigeria or Saudi Arabia or indicted by any of the Nigerian or Saudi Arabian Hajj Agencies, Aviation Authorities or any other Government Regulatory Agency.
(IV) The Applicant shall obtain an Application Form at the Commission’s Headquarters upon payment of a non-refundable application fee of N200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira), duly filled and returned before the expiration of the period indicated below.
(V) The Application must be accompanied with a refundable security deposit of N5,000,000.00 (Five Million Naira) as prescribed by section 16(4) of NAHCON (Establishment) Act 2006.
(3) SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
Successful Applicants shall be required to amongst others provide the following:
(i) Licensing fee of the sum of N500,000.00 for the 2015 Hajj operation only.
(ii) Provide a Performance Bond as prescribed by section 16(5) of NAHCON (Establishment) Act 2006, in a format to be provided by the Commission.
(iii) Shall submit the details of the proposed Hajj package and programme.
(iv) Present evidence of booking for the airlift of the allocated Pilgrims through international schedule Airlines.
(3) ALL APPLICANTS FOR RENEWAL ARE EXPECTED TO UPDATE THEIR FOLLOWING RECORDS WITH THE COMMISSION:
(i) Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with a minimum share capital of at least N30,000,000.00 (thirty million Naira).
(ii) Certified True Copies of Forms CAC 02 & CAC 07
(iii) Certified True Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company.
(iv) Current Audited Account
(v) Current Tax Clearance
(vi) Police report/Court Affidavit on all the Directors
(vii) Curriculum Vitae of the Company’s staff to be responsible for Hajj matters/administration.
(4) MODE OF APPLICATION
Prospective Travel Agencies shall apply by: Submitting a written application addressed to:

(5) SUBMISSION/CLOSING DATE
All applications along with the prescribed payments and relevant attachments shall be submitted to “The Chairman/CEO,not later than 5th January, 2015
(6) ALL APPLICANTS SHOULD NOTE THAT:
(i) All applications shall be subjected to further scrutiny by the Commission and other relevant agencies where necessary.
(ii) Allocation is subject to availability of slots.
(iii) All successful companies must have capability to airlift their pilgrims through international schedule Airlines operating into Madina or Jeddah.
(iv) The application is not intended to create any form of contractual relationship or obligation on the part of the Commission; neither shall it be liable to any applicant for any expenses or loss incurred in connection with this application.
