The Oyo State Government through the Federal Government of Nigeria has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project (IUFMP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include the detailed engineering designs and construction supervision of rehabilitation of infrastructure such as culverts and bridges in ten (10) priority sites within Ibadan metroplolis. The assignment is to be carried out in the following sites:
(i) Olorungunwa Culvert, POAT Area (Omi River), off Ife-Ibadan Expressway, Olode
(ii) Foworogi Culvert Egbeda Tuba Road, Foworogl
(iii) Maje Culvert, Maje Idi Mango Road, Soka Area, (Ogunpa River)
(iv) Omiri Culvert- Omiri (Omi River)
(v) Ebenezery Culvert, Alakia-Isebo Road(Oml River)
(vi) Elere River Culvert, Egbeda-Tuba Road
(vii) Alaro Culvert-7up Road (Alaro River), Oluyole Estate
(viii) Alaro Poly Road Sango Eleyele Road Poly Ijokodo (Alaro River)
(ix) Believers Stream Odo ona Elewe Road Oda Ona (Ona River)
(x) Ogbere Moradeyo Ogbere Moradeyo Road (Ogbere River)
The Oyo State Government through Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants who have experience in the Engineering Design, preparation of tender documents and construction supervision of infrastructure such as bridges, culverts and roads etc should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The short-listing criteria are:
(a) Experience in the Preparation of Engineering Designs of infrastructure in last five years.
(b) Experience in the incorporation of safeguard measures in the preparation of engineering designs.
(c) Experience in Project Management and Construction Supervision in a highly urbanized environment.
(d) Ability to mobilize required personnel in the respective area of assignment.
Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications and clearly specify the type of association (a joint venture or sub-consultancies) as well as the nature of its business (commercial or not-for profit)
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants (under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants) by World Bank Borrowers (“Consultant Guidelines January 2011”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines. Further information can be obtained at our office address stated below during the hours 9.00am to 4.00pm.
