Invitation to Tender
1.0 Introduction
The National Broadcasting Commission intends to undertake the procurement of works as detailed below; interested contracting firms are hereby invited to submit bids for the following project.
2.0 Scope of Work Reconstruction Headquarters Annex
The scope of work consists of Re-construction of office extension building annex which is a framed structure. The works comprise of a composite strip and pad foundation and reinforced concrete columns, beams and slab with block wall and glazed in filling inclusive of aluminum roof covering and necessary electrical and mechanical services installations as detailed in the tender documents.
3.0 Location of Project
NBC Headquarters, 20 Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Aso Villa -Abuja ;
4.0 Requirements
Interested contracting firms are hereby required to submit their firm’s profile which must include but not limited to the following documents.
i) Evidence of incorporation of company with Corporate Affairs Commission
ii) Evidence of current Tax Clearance certificate up to 2014
iii) VAT registration Certificate and evidence of remittance to FIRS
iv) Specify the minimum turn over for the last three years
v) Evidence of registration with PENCOM and evidence of remittance.
vi) Evidence of registration with ITF and evidence of
vii) Details of staff strength including the curriculum Vitae and Profile.
viii) Details of experience with jobs of similar nature in the last three years
ix) List of equipment.
x) Clear indication of headquarters address
xi) Audited account of the last three years un to 2013
xii) Sworn court affidavit that none of the directors is an ex-convict or bankrupt
xiii) Evidence of financial capacity and banking support (bank reference)
xiv) All Bids must be signed
5.0 Method of Application
All interested contractors will be required to submit detailed technical and financial proposalsin accordance with standard request for proposed submission along with their company profile.
The contractor is expected to pay a non-refundable fee of N50, 000.00 being cost of tender documents using a bank draft addressed to the Commission.
6.0 Collection of BiddingDocuments
Bidding documents for the proposed office annex shall be collected at the Procurement Unit located at No.20 Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Aso Villa, Asokoro District-Abuja.
7.0 Submission of Bid Documents
The Technical and Financial Documents should be submitted in separate sealed envelopes clearly marked “Technical Bid” and “Financial Bid” bid respectively, both put in a third envelope marked “Technical and Financial Tender for the Reconstruction of NBC Headquarters Annex” which should be addressed to:

8.0 Closing Date for Submission of Bids
Closing date for the submission of bids is stated for Monday July 21, 2014 at 12:00noon. Bid opening will take place immediately at the Board room of the NBC Headquarters.
9.0 Additional Information
i) Failure to satisfactorily meet the conditions in the tender document will result to invalidation of such tender.
ii) Tender for the items should be in accordance with the detailed description in the price schedule.
iii) NBC shall reserve the right to verify the authenticity of claims made by bidders and to disqualify any bid based on false or unverifiable claim or information.
iv) NBC shall not be liable for any expenses incurred by prospective bidders in preparing the tender document.
v) The NBC reserves the right to inspect or verify claims/information submitted as it deems necessary. Similarly, the Commission is not bound to shortlist any bidder and reserves the right to annul the selection process when unforeseen and justifiable developments warrant such action without incurring any liability and assigning reasons thereof.
vi) That at anytime the Commission discovers that the information submitted for pre-qualification is false, the Commission reserves the right to disqualify the company.
vii) All original documents must be produced for citing at any requested time before the completion of the procurement exercise.
