Invitation to Bid
The SHAWN II Project supported by DFID Is being implemented in Katsina State by UNICEF with aim to contribute towards reduction of water and sanitation related diseases and improved health outcomes, focusing on increasing access to safe excreta disposal in all communities of the targeted LGAs while simultaneously promoting hand washing practices and ensuring access to safe drinking water. In line with one of its objective of increasing access to drinking water and sanitation services in rural communities of the self- selected LGAs, the programme is seeking to engage drilling and civil construction firms to construct water facilities in these communities of the target LGAs.
Accordingly, the Katsina State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (KTRUWASSA) hereby invites bids from interested contractors for the following works grouped into 11 lots:
Lot 1:18 hand pump boreholes in Ingawa LGA
Lot 2:18 hand pump boreholes in Batagarawa LGA
Lot 3:18 hand pump boreholes in Safana LGA
Lot 4:18 hand pump boreholes in Matazu LGA
Lot 5:18 hand pump boreholes in Musawa LGA
Lot 6:14 hand pump boreholes in Dutsin-ma LGA
Lot 7:12 hand pump boreholes in Faskari LGA
Lot 8:12 hand pump boreholes in Bakori LGA
Lot 9:12 hand pump boreholes in Mai’adua LGA
Lot 10:12 hand pump boreholes in Kaita LGA
Lot 11:12 hand pump borehole in Sandamu LGA
Method of Bidding
Interested contractors can obtain bid documents from the office of the Executive Director Katsina State RUWASSA, No 2 Olusegun Obasanjo Drive GRA Katsina at the Non- refundable fee of 10,000 (Ten thousand naira) only for each, lot
Completed bids are to be submitted on or before 28th November, 2014, with technical proposal in sealed envelopes marked “Lot 1” as the case may be, to the office of Executive Director Katsina RUWASSA No 2 Olusegun Obasanjo Drive GRA Katsina.
Subsequently bids shall be opened same day at 2 pm in the presence of bidders and members of the General Public who may wish to attend bid opening and evaluation. This process is being monitored by DFID/UNICEF to ensure strict compliance with the procurement Act.
