Invitation to Pre-Qualification and Tender for the Construction of Proposed College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CONAS) Building Project
(A) Introduction
Fountain University, Osogbo, Nigeria, a privately owned University hereby invites suitably qualified firms/companies to submit Pre-qualification documents for the, Construction of proposed College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CONAS) Building Project at its Permanent Site in Osogbo, Osun State.
(B) Description of Works
The project shall consist of the construction of CONAS Building, the details of which are-fully described in the Bills of Quantities and/or shown on the Drawings.
The project is designed to be a single building consisting of Offices, Lecture rooms, Laboratories and other associated spaces.
(C) Pre-Qualification Criteria
Interested Companies are requested to submit the following documents/ information with verifiable evidence for assessment/consideration.
(i) Certificate of Incorporation by Corporate Affairs Commission.
(ii) Company Profile and Organization Structure.
(iii) Current Tax Clearance Certificate.
(iv) VAT Registration Certificate/Evidence of Remittance.
(v) Evidence of Registration as a Contractor with the University.
(vi) Company’s Audited Account for the last 3 years prepared by Registered Account Firm.
(vii) Letter of Financial capability from the company’s Bankers (must be a reputable Bank).
(viii) List of similar projects previously/currently undertaken including letters of awards, completion certificates, completion period and project costs.
(ix) List/type of construction equipment including an indication of whether owned or lease; for owned equipment, evidence of ownership shall be required.
(x) Curriculum Vitae of key Technical Staff including individual attestation of availability
(D) Collection of Pre-Qualification Documents:
Interested contractors are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of N25,000.00 (Twenty-five Thousand Naira only) into FUO ACCESS BANK PLC ACCOUNT – 0033534044. Evidence of the payment shall qualify the Contractors to collect the pre-qualification/contract documents from the:
Office of the Registrar,
Fountain University,
Osogbo Osun State.
Between the hours of 9.00 a.m.-3.00p.m. Not later than 2nd March, 2015.
(E) Submission of Documents:
All submissions are required to be neatly packaged in binders and in sealed wax envelope marked “SUBMISSION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONAS BUILDING PROJECT” and deposited in the Tender Box located in the Office of the Registrar at the address above not later than 12:00 noon on 2nd March, 2015. All submissions will be opened on the 3rd March 2015 at the University Council/Senate Chamber.
ONLY Successful Companies / Firms will be shortlisted and invited to collect Tenders documents for the project on payment of stipulated bidding fee.
(F) General/Special Information
(i) This advertisement shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the University, nor shall it entitle prospective contractor to make any claim whatsoever and /or seek any indemnity from the University.
(ii) Failure to comply with any of the instructions above or to provide any of the listed documents will automatically result in disqualification.
(iii) Late submissions will not be entertained under any circumstance.
