Invitation for Submission of Technical and Financial Bids in Respect of First Tranche Presidential Needs Assessment and TETFUND Special Intervention Projects
Introduction:
Kaduna State University intends to utilize its First Tranche Presidential Intervention and Tertiary Education Trust Fund Special Intervention Allocations in the Procurement of works and goods as under:
Lot 1: Construction and Furnishing of 1 No. Block of 6-Lecture Halls- UNIV/KADUNA/5P/TETF/NEEDS/13/01
Lot 2: Proposed Expansion and Furnishing of Existing Library – UNIV/KADUNA/TETF/NEEDS/13/02
Lot 3: Renovation of Science Lecture Theatre Complex- UNIV/KADUNA/TETF/NEEDS/13/03
Lot 4: Rehabilitation of Lecture Halls for Faculty of Arts- UNIV/KADUNA/TFTF/NEEDS/13/04
Lot 5: Rehabilitation of Lecture Halls for Faculty of Social and Management Sciences – UNIV/ KADUNA/TETF/NEEDS/13/05
Lot 6: Proposed Upgrade of Laboratories and Library -UNIV/KADUNA/SP/TETF/NEEDS/13/06
Lot 7: Renovation/Rehabilitation of Medical Students Hostel- UNIV/KADUNA/SP/TETF/NEEDS/13/07
Lot 8: Renovation/Rehabilitation of College of Basic Studies (CBS Hostel) – UNIV/KADUNA/SP/TETF/NEEDS/13/8
Lot 9: Redevelopment and Furnishing of Sick Bay- UNIV/KASU/TETF/SP/13/01
Prequalification Requirement:
Reputable and interested contractors/vendors wishing to undertake the procurements are to indicate their intention by submitting Technical and Financial Bid documents in the following order:
- Evidence of Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C);
- Evidence of current Tax Clearance for the last three (3) years;
- Certified audited account for the last three (3) years;
- Evidence of registration with Kaduna State University as contractor/supplier;
- Verifiable evidence of similar jobs successfully executed;
- Experience and technical capabilities of the company including also of key staff;
- Evidence of financial capability/support and reference from a recognized financial institution/bank;
- Evidence of VAT registration and remittance in the last three (3) years;
- Evidence of compliance with provision of the Pension Reform Art, 2004 indicating account relationship with a pension fund administrator and remittance of all pension contribution where applicable,
- Evidence of compliance with provision of the Industrial Training Fund Act, 1971 Section 6 (i-ii) indicating evidence of annual remittance of prescribed training contribution of its employees to the fund as applicable.
General Information:
- Technical and financial submission is to be made separately in sealed envelope clearly marked ‘TECHNICAL’ and ‘FINANCIAL’ respectively indicating lot under submission.
- Tender Documents can be obtained from the office of the Director, Physical Planning and Development, Kaduna State University commencing from April 7, 2014 with an evidence of payment of Tender receipt of N100, 000.00 for Lots 1, 2 and 8, and N50, 000.00 for Lots 3 – 7 & 9 being respective non-refundable tender processing fees issued by the University Bursary Department.
- Technical and financial bids are to be enclosed in a single envelope properly addressed and submitted to the Secretary, Tenders Committee in the office of the Registrar, Kaduna State University, Tafawa Balewa Way, Kaduna on or before Tuesday 11.00am May 20, 2014. Submission shall be opened by 11.00am same day at Senate Chamber.
- Only prequalified respondents will have their financial bids open.
- This is only an invitation for solicitation to submit and does not bear any financial undertaking on the part of the University.
- All enquiries should be made to the office of the Director, Physical Planning & Development, Kaduna State University.
