Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors/Suppliers for the Year 2013 TETFUND Needs Presidential Intervention Projects (BATCH 1)
1.0 Introduction
The Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero invites reputable and competent Contractors/Suppliers to submit their pre-qualification documents for assessment to bid for the year 2013 TETFund Needs Special Presidential Intervention Projects (Batch 1).
2.0 Scope of the Projects
The projects for which pre-qualification of contractors/suppliers invited, are as follows:
LOT 1: Construction and Furnishing of 100 Capacity Lecture Hall
LOT 2: Construction and Furnishing of Central Research Laboratory
LOT 3: Construction and Furnishing of 120 Capacity Science and Technical Education Laboratory
LOT 4: Procurement and installation of Furniture and equipment for Science and Technical Education Library
LOT 5: Procurement Furnishing and installation of Equipment for Micro Teaching Laboratory
3.0 Pre-Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the bidding, the following documents are required:
- Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
- Audited accounts of the company for the last three (3) years
- Tax clearance certificates for the last three years
- Evidence of VAT Registration and remittance
- Evidence of similar and verifiable projects successfully executed by the company indicating location, letters of award and completion certificates for the last three (3) years
- List and specification of major equipment possessed by the company
- List of managerial, technical and administrative staff of the company
- Evidence of financial capability and letter of introduction from a reputable Bank
- Evidence of registration with Kebbi State University of Science and
Technology, Aliero
- Evidence of remittance of staff pension contributions to the appropriate pension custodian/administrator
- Evidence of remittance of training contribution in compliance with ITF Act 2011
4.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
Pre-qualification documents should be enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked “Pre -Qualification Documents for: ________________________” on the top left hand corner and addressed to:

5.0 Closing Date for Submission
The deadline for submission of application for pre-qualification is 24th April, 2014.
6.0 Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents
a. The pre-qualification documents received are to be opened on the closing date at 2:30pm in the Council Chamber of the University,
b. All prospective contractors/suppliers and general public are invited to the opening ceremony
c. Only pre-qualified contractors/suppliers shall be invited to tender
d. The University reserves the right to reject any or all the documents and to terminate entire selection processes at any time without any explanation and any liability to the University,
e. The University shall not go into any correspondence with any unpre- qualified contractor/supplier.
