Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors and Tender
The Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri is desirous of embarking on the under-listed TETfund projects. Consequently, interested competent and experienced contractors are invited for pre-qualification and Tender.
PROJECTS
- Construction of a two-storey block of Lecture Halls/Offices (Art Department)
- Supply/installation of Laboratory Equipment
a. Special Intervention (High Impact)
- Construction of a two storey Lecture Halls/Offices
- Procurement of 1500 Nos. Classroom Furniture
a. Normal Intervention
Pre-Qualification Requirements;
Interested contractors are required to submit the following with their applications. Mandatory Requirements;
- Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
- Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years (2011, 2012, 2013)
- Evidence of PENCOM compliance (registration and remittance not confirmation of registration
- Evidence ITF Compliance (payment and certificate)
OTHERS
- Company Audited Accounts for the last three year (2011, 2012, 2013)
- Sworn affidavit indicating whether any staff of AIFCE is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the Company.
- Company profile indicating technical qualifications and experiences of key officers to be involved in the project
- Financial capability/evidence of financial backing/reference from a reputable bank
- List of relevant equipment/plant with evidence of ownership
- List of similar projects executed; stating contract sums and evidence of award/completion.
- VAT registration and evidence of past VAT remittances.
(C) Collection/Submission of Documents
Applications for pre-qualification and Tender which must be in separate sealed envelop and clearly marked “Application for pre-qualification for… And Tender for…” should be collected from the office of the DWS and forwarded to reach the Address below not later than 12 noon on… 26th August, 2014

General Information
(a) All claims made by applicants may be verified and any company whose claims are found to be false shall be disqualified
(b)Contractors who have worked for this College and have history of poor performance, abandonment or prolonged contract period need not apply.
(c) Evidence of payment of non-refundable Tender fee of N50.000 for 1, N15, 000 for 2, N40.000 for 3, and N20.000 for 4 above is required before collection of Tender documents from the office mentioned above
